Rega Replay Turntable with Carbon Cartridge
Rega Replay Turntable with Carbon Cartridge

The Rega Replay is an entry-level belt-drive turntable with a skeleton chassis, RB110 tonearm and a pre-fitted Rega Carbon MM cartridge. It is Rega's new entry model and delivers the Rega signature – light, stiff, no frills – in its purest form.
Why the Replay?
Rega builds turntables on the principle of «less mass, more stiffness»: what doesn't resonate doesn't colour the sound. In the Replay this principle lives in a slim skeleton chassis, the newly developed RB110 tonearm and a self-locking platter bearing. The phenolic platter carries a flywheel mass around its outer edge that calms the running, and a 24 V synchronous motor drives it via belt. Anti-skating is set automatically at the factory – one less adjustment, one less thing to get wrong. In short: a lot of Rega for little money.
What you hear
An open, clear sound with good timing and tight bass – exactly what Rega is known for. The Carbon cartridge reads the groove cleanly and matches the tonearm without any adjustment on your part. The result is a turntable that lets music flow instead of dissecting it.
Who is the Replay for?
For anyone starting out with vinyl or returning after years and wanting a solid, long-lasting turntable. Plainly put: if you plan a cartridge upgrade later or want a higher-end deck, the Planar family offers more room to grow. And a phono input on your amplifier (or a separate phono stage) is a must – we are happy to look at that with you.
Our verdict
The Replay is the simplest way into the Rega world: unpack, set up, put a record on. At HD Zürisee in Wädenswil we advise you on the right system around it, so the start is enjoyable from day one.

Frequently asked questions
Does the Rega Replay come with a cartridge?
Yes. The Replay ships with the Rega Carbon MM cartridge and is ready to play straight away. The RB110 tonearm is matched to the cartridge at the factory and the anti-skating force is preset automatically. There is no complicated setup, which makes the start pleasantly simple for vinyl newcomers.
Do I need a phono preamplifier for the Rega Replay?
Yes, unless your amplifier has a phono MM input. The Replay has no built-in phono stage and outputs an MM signal. If your amplifier has a phono input, you connect it directly; otherwise you add a separate phono preamplifier. We are happy to advise you on the right choice.
How does the Replay differ from the Rega Planar 1?
The Replay is Rega's new entry model below the Planar family. It takes over the light skeleton construction and belt drive, but uses a simplified build with a self-locking platter bearing and a phenolic platter with an outer flywheel. That keeps the price low without giving up Rega's core principle.
When will the Rega Replay be available?
Rega has announced the first delivery for November 2026. We expect availability from late November 2026. The Replay is a new release and demand is likely to be high at the start. Get in touch and we will keep you updated on the delivery date.
