Rega Carbon MM Cartridge

The Rega Carbon is an MM cartridge with a conical diamond stylus, which Rega fits at the factory on the Planar 1.

The Carbon is Rega's entry-level cartridge – unfussy, robust and just right for getting into the world of turntables, or for bringing an older Rega tonearm back to life affordably. If you later want more resolution, the Elys 2 or Nd3 offer an easy upgrade on the same tonearm.

Frequently asked questions

Does the Carbon fit any Rega tonearm?

Yes, thanks to the Rega 3-point mounting system, the Carbon fits all current Rega tonearms (RB110 to RB330). With older Rega turntables it's worth a quick check with us first.

Is it worth upgrading from the Carbon?

Yes, sonically the Elys 2 or Nd3 bring noticeably more detail and a calmer background – for many Planar 1 owners the most sensible first upgrade step.
