The Raidho X2.6 is a 2.5-way floorstanding speaker that packs the ribbon technology from Raidho's large reference series into a slim, everyday-friendly column.
The ".6" stands, for Raidho, for the younger, somewhat more accessible generation of the X series – accessible, of course, on the Raidho scale. The X2.6 inherits its tweeter from the flagship TD6 and aims to prove that big, free-standing high-end sound doesn't need the dimensions of a wardrobe. Developed and handcrafted in Denmark, with us in Wädenswil.
Why the X2.6?
Up top sits Raidho's planar-magnetic ribbon tweeter – a foil only about 11 microns thin with just around 20 milligrams of moving mass, practically resonance-free and derived directly from the reference model TD6. Below it, two 16.5 cm Ceramix drivers with a ceramic-coated aluminum diaphragm do the work, whose first resonance sets in far above the audible range – keeping distortion extremely low. The 2.5-way architecture is typical Raidho: both drivers deliver bass, only the upper one additionally handles the midrange, producing a coherent, unified sound from top to bottom. The crossover is hand-built and internally wired with Nordost; coupling to the floor happens via ceramic balls in a damped base plate rather than classic spikes. Two rear bass-reflex ports provide foundation despite the slim build.
What you hear
A large, free-standing stage with a deep black background – voices and instruments detach completely from the cabinets. The X2.6 sounds open, fast, and effortless, drawing the finest detail while never becoming fatiguing. The bass reaches surprisingly deep at around 32 Hz and stays controlled, not bloated. In short: it plays a size larger than it looks.
Who is the X2.6 for?
For anyone who wants genuine Raidho high-end sound without two blocks dominating the living room. Ideal for small to medium rooms and for people who value design and discretion. If you know the X2t, here you get more diaphragm area, deeper bass, and a bit more composure still.
Straight talk: the X2.6 wants a decent amplifier. 87 dB sensitivity sounds forgiving, but these speakers reward every watt of quality with more resolution – a tired entry-level unit would simply be a waste. And they need air at the back: squeezed right against the wall, they lose their greatest strength, the free-standing stage. For huge halls or uncompromising deep bass, the way leads to the larger TD series.
Our verdict
The X2.6 is one of the most elegant ways to bring genuine Raidho reference DNA into a normal living room. On a potent amplifier and with some distance from the wall, this slim column plays open, big, and mature – and looks like a piece of furniture, not a trade-show exhibit. The international trade press has reviewed the X2.6 widely and positively (including The Absolute Sound, 2024).

Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between the X2.6 and the X2t?
The X2.6 uses larger 16.5 cm Ceramix drivers instead of the X2t's 13 cm chassis, and a tweeter derived from the flagship TD6. That brings more diaphragm area, deeper bass (32 Hz), and an even larger stage. The X2t remains the slimmer, somewhat more discreet variant.
What amplifier does the X2.6 need?
A strong, current-stable one. The 87 dB sensitivity seems forgiving, but the speakers resolve noticeably more freely with a composed amplifier (from around 100 watts). We're happy to help you find the right unit for your room and budget.
How large should the room be?
The X2.6 feels at home in small to medium rooms. More important than square meters is the distance from the wall: give it room to breathe at the back – ideally over a meter – so the rear bass-reflex ports and the stage can breathe freely. We're happy to help you with placement.
Does the X2.6 need spikes?
No. Coupling happens via ceramic balls in a damped base plate. On request, the feet can be converted to rubber or classic spikes – so the speaker suits parquet just as well as carpet.
Is the X2.6 available in other colors?
Standard finishes are black and white piano lacquer, both high-gloss. Raidho produces special colors on request – from subtle to bold, much is possible. Tell us what you have in mind and we'll clarify feasibility, surcharge, and delivery time for you.
