The Panasonic TV-77Z95BEKA is a 77-inch flagship-class OLED TV, arriving with a Primary RGB Tandem OLED panel, the HCX Pro AI Processor MK II and a 360° Soundscape Pro sound system tuned by Technics. It's the largest and most expensive device in the entire 2026 Panasonic line-up – the flagship of the flagship, with a correspondingly confident presence in living rooms that can afford it.

Why the TV-77Z95BEKA?

Because it brings the entire technology of the Z95B series to the largest surface Panasonic has in its 2026 line-up. The Primary RGB Tandem OLED panel with ThermalFlow cooling delivers more brightness and longevity than classic OLED, the HCX Pro AI Processor MK II fine-tunes picture and sound in real time, and with up to 144 Hz plus two genuine HDMI 2.1 inputs the device is also ready for current game consoles and high-end PCs. In short: if you want the biggest Panasonic picture currently available, this is exactly where you land.

What you see and hear

On the picture side, the TV-77Z95BEKA covers practically every HDR format that matters: Dolby Vision IQ, HDR10+ Adaptive, HLG and Filmmaker Mode for unadulterated cinema pictures. For gaming, Game Mode Extreme, VRR, ALLM plus AMD FreeSync Premium and NVIDIA G-Sync compatibility deliver judder-free, low-latency rendering. On the sound side, the upward- and side-firing array speakers of the 360° Soundscape Pro system, tuned by Technics – Dolby Atmos included – take over a large share of the work you'd otherwise leave to separate speakers. Fire TV Premium runs as the operating system, with Alexa, Apple AirPlay and Apple Home.

Who is the TV-77Z95BEKA suited for – and who isn't it for?

77 inches is no arbitrary size: with this device a seating distance of around 3 to 3.5 metres pays off, so the picture unfolds its effect without you having to turn your head like in the front row of a cinema. At around 50 kg including stand and 1.71 m wide, mounting belongs in two hands – or rather four, because this is a two-person device, and the wall or the furniture underneath must be sturdy enough. If you have a small room, a seating distance under two metres or a narrow sideboard, you're better served by one of the smaller Z95B models – here you pay for surface area you should actually be using.

Our verdict

What Hi-Fi? tested the Z95B series with the same panel and the same picture and sound technology in 2025 with the full five-star rating – a verdict that transfers directly to the picture engine and sound system of this 77-inch flagship. For us, the TV-77Z95BEKA is simply what Panasonic currently does best, just in the largest size available.

Frequently asked questions

How much seating distance do I need for the 77-inch TV-77Z95BEKA?

For the TV-77Z95BEKA we recommend around 3 to 3.5 metres of seating distance. That way the 4K picture looks razor-sharp and richly detailed, without pixel structure or motion looking unsettled. At a shorter distance, a smaller Z95B model is more worthwhile – at this size the room is allowed to bring some scale of its own.

Can I set up and mount the TV-77Z95BEKA on my own?

Better not alone. At around 50 kg including stand and 1.71 m wide, the TV-77Z95BEKA is a two-person device, both when unpacking and for wall mounting. The wall or the TV furniture also needs to be rated for this weight – worth checking beforehand.

Is the Panasonic TV-77Z95BEKA still a genuine Panasonic despite the Skyworth partnership?

Yes. In 2026 Panasonic moved its TV business into a strategic partnership with Skyworth, but the devices remain genuine Panasonic TVs – brand, picture tuning and software still lie with Panasonic. Publicly it was summed up like this: Panasonic TVs remain Panasonic TVs, only manufacturing now runs under this partnership.

How good is the TV-77Z95BEKA for gaming?

Very good. Two HDMI 2.1 ports deliver 4K at up to 144 Hz, plus VRR, ALLM, AMD FreeSync Premium and NVIDIA G-Sync compatibility. Game Mode Extreme keeps input lag low. For current consoles and high-end PCs, the TV-77Z95BEKA is therefore excellently equipped on the picture side.

Do I need extra speakers, or is the built-in sound enough?

The built-in 360° Soundscape Pro system, tuned by Technics, with Dolby Atmos and upward-firing speakers, plays exceptionally room-filling for a TV. For everyday movie nights that's often entirely enough. For cinema reference sound or large rooms, we're happy to advise you on suitable soundbars or speaker setups.
