The Panasonic TV-65Z95BEKA is a 65-inch OLED flagship of the current generation, combining uncompromising picture quality with a rich, room-filling sound system. Under the hood sits exactly the same Primary RGB Tandem OLED panel as in the predecessor – what's new is the manufacturing under the fresh Panasonic-Skyworth partnership, visible at most in the extra "A" in the name. Panasonic remains Panasonic, only the production line has changed.

Why the TV-65Z95BEKA?

The HCX Pro AI Processor MK II fine-tunes picture and sound in real time, the panel delivers rich black without halo effects, and thanks to ThermalFlow cooling the TV holds full brightness even during long sessions instead of throttling itself. For gamers there are two HDMI 2.1 ports with 4K at 144 Hz, VRR, ALLM plus FreeSync and G-Sync compatibility – Game Mode Extreme switches over lightning-fast, with no menu dance required.

What you see and hear

Dolby Vision IQ, HDR10+ Adaptive and Filmmaker Mode make sure films look the way the director intended – not like an oversweetened commercial. On the sound side you notice the difference from an ordinary TV speaker immediately: 360° Soundscape Pro, tuned by Technics, radiates sound upward and to the sides too, turning Dolby Atmos tracks into more than just a nice attempt. The price for that: the TV builds noticeably thicker at the back than a paper-thin picture-frame TV – if you put flatness above everything, you get sound worth having here instead.

Who is the TV-65Z95BEKA suited for – and who isn't it for?

If you want a TV that gets through movie nights and series marathons without a soundbar while still gaming smoothly, you're in the right place – bluntly: this is a genuine living-room centrepiece, not a side device. If, on the other hand, you strictly want the thinnest, least conspicuous panel on the wall, or connect a large external sound system anyway, you'd be paying here for speakers you barely use – then a slimmer model plus a separate system is more worthwhile.

Our verdict

The predecessor model with an identical panel and processor was awarded the full five-star rating by What Hi-Fi? in 2025 – a verdict that applies just the same to the technically unchanged BEKA manufacturing. If you're looking for an OLED flagship that takes picture and sound equally seriously, you get one of the most consistent packages on the market here.

Frequently asked questions

Is the TV-65Z95BEKA suitable for gaming?

Yes. Two HDMI 2.1 ports deliver 4K at up to 144 Hz, plus VRR, ALLM and FreeSync and G-Sync compatibility. Game Mode Extreme automatically switches into the low-latency mode – even in fast shooters the picture stays judder-free and input lag minimal.

Do I need extra speakers with the TV-65Z95BEKA?

Not necessarily. The built-in 360° Soundscape Pro system from Technics radiates sound upward and to the sides too and plays Dolby Atmos tracks noticeably more spatially than a normal TV speaker. For large rooms or ambitious home cinema goals, personal advice on suitable speakers and their placement in our shop is still worthwhile.

Do I need to take out a subscription for streaming?

No. Fire TV already comes with the common streaming apps built in, but a subscription is purely optional, not a must. Via the Penta Tuner you receive classic television via DVB-T2/C/S2, TV>IP or IPTV, and local network content also plays back without any ongoing costs.

What's the difference to the TV-65Z95BEK?

Technically practically nothing: same Primary RGB Tandem panel, same HCX Pro AI Processor MK II, same series and same picture quality. The difference lies solely in manufacturing – the TV-65Z95BEKA already rolls off the line under the new Panasonic-Skyworth partnership, visible from the outside by the extra "A" in the model name.

How heavy is the TV-65Z95BEKA and how do I mount it?

With its stand it weighs 28.5 kg at 1448 × 911 × 348 mm. For wall mounting you use the VESA mount 300 × 300 mm – for 65 inches we recommend professional installation, which we're happy to handle for you at HD Zürisee on request.
