Ortofon Stylus 20 Replacement Stylus

The Ortofon Stylus 20 is the refined Nude Elliptical replacement stylus for the OM 20 – a clear step up in resolution over the simpler OM styli, on the same compact body.

Why this replacement stylus?

Ortofon itself describes the Stylus 20 as a step towards "more refinement, better resolution and more stable tracking" – noticeably more control and clarity than the entry-level styli in the OM series.

Who it's for (in plain terms)

For OM owners who want a real sonic step up without changing the body. If you want to go even further, the Stylus 30 with its Fine Line grind is the next stop.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the Stylus 20 fit a simpler OM body (e.g. OM 5E)?
No, it's built specifically for bodies in the 20 class – a cartridge change would be needed for that.

Is the extra cost over the Stylus 10 worth it?
Sonically, clearly yes: the Stylus 20 resolves noticeably finer detail and tracks more cleanly with complex material.

Why buy replacement styli from HD Zürisee?
We advise you on whether, at this price, switching to a newer cartridge makes more sense than the original replacement stylus.
