Why the Stylus MKII Elite?

The Elite bridges the gap between the DJ and HiFi worlds: a bare elliptical diamond (r/r 8/18 µm) on a rigid 750 µm aluminium-magnesium cantilever, set in a gold-plated stylus body. Bare diamond styli are otherwise found in high-end HiFi cartridges – they deliver powerful, detailed sound, here combined with a strong 8.5 mV output voltage.

What you hear

Noticeably more resolution and live character than the spherical MKII styli: the bare elliptical diamond digs deep into the groove and pulls out fine detail, space and dynamics that a standard stylus leaves behind. Punchy, yet clean.

Who is the Stylus MKII Elite for?

For DJs who also listen seriously at home, and for anyone who wants to get the most out of their Concorde MKII Elite. Plain talk: for pure scratching, this fine, pricier stylus is overqualified – a spherical MKII is enough for that. It doesn't fit other models or the Music series.

Does the Stylus MKII Elite fit my Concorde?

It's made for the Concorde MKII Elite and clicks directly onto its body. It doesn't fit the spherical MKII models (DJ, Mix, Scratch, Club) or the Music series – those have their own stylus. Not sure? We'll check it for your system.

Is the Stylus MKII Elite a complete stylus or just the diamond?

A complete stylus unit. Diamond, aluminium-magnesium cantilever and stylus body form one piece that sits at the front of the Concorde body and is replaced as a whole – no gluing in individual diamonds, no tools needed.

Is the Elite stylus worth it over a cheaper MKII?

If sound quality matters to you, yes. The bare elliptical diamond resolves more finely than the spherical MKII styli and gets sonically close to a HiFi cartridge. If you only scratch or cue, you won't unlock that advantage – then a cheaper stylus will do.
