Ortofon 6NX-TSW 1010R Tonearm Cable RCA-RCA

The Ortofon 6NX-TSW 1010R is a premium tonearm cable with RCA connectors on both ends – built to carry your cartridge's tiny signal to the phono stage unaltered.

Why this cable?

Few signals in a hi-fi chain are as quiet and prone to interference as a cartridge's. The 6NX-TSW 1010R uses high-purity OFC copper (7 strands, 5N/6N purity) and a tight shield against interference from mobile phones and household appliances – exactly where a standard cable weakens first.

What you'll hear

Less background noise and hum, a calmer black-level baseline – the effect is most audible on quiet passages and high-resolution cartridges.

Who it's for (plain talk)

For tonearms with RCA output at the base that want a noticeable upgrade over the supplied standard cable. If your tonearm has a 5-pin DIN connector, you'll need the 6NX-TSW 1010 (RCA-5P) instead.

Frequently asked questions

Does this cable fit any tonearm?
Only tonearms with an RCA connector at the base. For a 5-pin DIN connector, the 6NX-TSW 1010 (RCA-5P) variant is the right choice.

How big is the sound difference really?
Most noticeable on quiet passages and high-resolution cartridges – with an entry-level MM cartridge the effect is smaller than with a high-end MC.

Why buy tonearm cables at HD Zürisee?
We advise you whether the upgrade is even worthwhile for your cartridge and tonearm, rather than just selling it to you.

Goes well with

A high-quality cartridge that actually makes the extra signal purity audible.
