NAD MDC VM310 UHD 4K Video Module with BluOS

The NAD MDC VM310 is a 4K UHD video module that upgrades compatible NAD AV receivers and processors to HDMI 2.0b with 4K/60, and – thanks to BluOS – also brings network streaming into the device. Two upgrades on one plug-in card.

Why the VM310?

Older AV heavyweights often still sound flawless, but fall short with modern 4K TVs and streaming. The VM310 solves both: current HDMI 2.0b connections with full UHD bandwidth plus BluOS multiroom from the same module. Instead of replacing a trusted receiver, you bring it back up to date with an MDC card.

What you get

Five HDMI 2.0b inputs and two outputs with 4K/60 at 4:4:4, HDCP 2.2 and HDR – full bandwidth for Blu-ray, gaming and streaming boxes. Following NAD's "do no harm" principle, the picture stays untouched, with only the audio tapped off for processing. Add BluOS with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and AirPlay 2, high-resolution up to 24-bit/192kHz and multiroom across up to 64 zones.

Who is the VM310 suited for? (and who it's not)

For owners of a compatible NAD AVR or processor who want to add 4K and streaming. Straight talk: the VM310 replaces the existing video module and, in doing so, disables the analogue video inputs (composite, S-video, component). If you still route old analogue sources through your receiver, talk it through with us first. AirPlay 2 is also only available on the T 777, T 778 and M17.

Which NAD devices does the VM310 fit?
The AV receivers NAD T 187, T 777, T 778 and T 787, as well as the processors M15HD and M17 (V2), are compatible. We'll quickly check whether your specific model and its firmware are ready before you order.

Do I also get streaming with the VM310?
Yes. Besides 4K HDMI, the module adds BluOS network streaming, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth; AirPlay 2 on the T 777, T 778 and M17. You stream in high resolution up to 24/192 and integrate the receiver into a BluOS multiroom system – usable entirely without a subscription too, for example for local files and internet radio.

Does the module change the video picture?
No. Following NAD's "do no harm" principle, the picture passes through unchanged, with only the audio tapped off. Important: the VM310 replaces the old video module and, in doing so, disables your receiver's analogue video inputs.
