The NAD M23 V2 is a stereo power amplifier from the Masters Series with Purifi Eigentakt technology and over 2× 200 watts of power.

The last stage before the speakers – and one that doesn't get temperamental, no matter how demanding the speaker.

Why the NAD M23 V2?

Here, clean power counts. The Purifi Eigentakt power amplifier is one of the lowest-distortion amplifier technologies around: over 200 watts per channel, with high damping and a distortion factor below 0.003%. That means control down into complex bass passages, without harshness, without noise. And thanks to Class-D efficiency, it stays cool and compact.

What you get

Balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA inputs per channel make the M23 V2 the right power amplifier for almost any high-quality preamplifier – such as the NAD M66 or C658. Two pairs of speaker terminals allow bi-wiring, the gain is switchable in three steps, and a 12V trigger integrates it into the system. And for anyone who wants more: two M23 V2s can be run in bridged mono mode for over 700 watts per chassis.

Who is the NAD M23 V2 right for – and who isn't it right for?

The right choice if you have a preamplifier (or a streaming preamplifier) and are looking for an uncompromising power amplifier that keeps even difficult speakers firmly under control. Plain talk: the M23 V2 is a pure power amplifier – no volume control, no sources. Without a suitable preamplifier, nothing happens here. Anyone who wants an all-in-one solution is better served by the M10 V3 or M33 V2.

Our verdict

The M23 V2 is a reference power amplifier at a reasonable price: Purifi-clean, powerful, cool and elegant. The honest choice when your speakers deserve the best.

Frequently asked questions

Can I run two NAD M23 V2 units as mono power amplifiers?

Yes. In bridged mode (Bridged Mono), each M23 V2 works as a mono block and delivers over 700 watts at 8 ohms. With two units, you then run each speaker with its own power amplifier – this brings even more control and dynamics, ideal for very power-hungry high-end speakers. We'll help you configure it properly.

Which preamplifier suits the NAD M23 V2?

In principle, any preamplifier with an XLR or RCA output – the M23 V2 harmonises especially well with the NAD M66 or the streaming C658. The balanced XLR connection gives the lowest noise over longer cable runs. We're happy to work out with you which preamplifier/power amplifier combination suits your speakers.

Why buy the NAD M23 V2 from HD Zürisee?
