KECES P9 Linear Power Supply

The KECES P9 is an upper-tier linear dual-zone power supply that feeds demanding digital sources with plenty of clean, analogue power – with circuit technology derived from the flagship P28.

Positioned between the compact P6 and the large P14: more current, finer internals, still two zones. Supplied as a single unit with DC cables and mains cable.

Why the KECES P9?

Because it combines reserves with fine detailing. The fully discrete circuit does without standard chips, an in-house toroidal transformer delivers stable power, and separate ground paths per zone stop two devices from interfering with each other. OCC silver in the internal AC lead and gold-plated DC sockets round off the build; an additional earth terminal helps against ground loops.

What you get

Strong, quiet power for two devices: Zone I delivers up to 5 A peak, Zone II up to 7 A – enough to confidently feed even a hungry music server or streamer, while Zone I simultaneously powers the DAC.

Who is the P9 suited for – and who isn't it for?

Plain talk: the P9 is for anyone who finds the P6 too limited but doesn't need a four- or six-zone power supply. If you only power a single, modest device, the P6 is more cost-effective; if you want to power three or more devices, look at the P14 or P28. At 6 kg, it also wants a fixed spot, not something dangling behind the rack.

What is the additional earth terminal for?

This terminal helps when a slight hum disturbs the chain: connect it to your amplifier or a central earthing point – this often noticeably stabilises the grounding.
