The KECES P8 Dual is a linear power supply with two independent output zones that feeds two digital devices at once, each with up to 4 amps, from a shared toroidal transformer.

Instead of two wall warts, a single, purely analogue device in a 4 mm thick aluminium housing hangs off your outlet – with an OLED display that shows you voltage and current draw for both zones.

Why the KECES P8 Dual?

Because a streaming chain rarely has just one device on the mains. Streamer and DAC, switch and server, reclocker and bridge: each of them comes with a factory switch-mode supply, and each of them scatters high-frequency noise into your system. The P8 Dual replaces two of them at once – with separate zones, so the two consumers don't get in each other's way.

What you get

Order behind the rack and calm in front of it. Two zones of 4 amps each are more than enough for the vast majority of digital sources, and the USB-A output at 5 V / 1 A takes care of small extras too. Because you choose between two voltage combinations at purchase, the power supply matches your devices exactly instead of just approximately.

Who is the P8 Dual for – and who isn't it for?

Straight talk: ideal if you want to cleanly power two devices with different voltages. Less suitable if a single device is genuinely hungry – then the P8 Mono bundles its 8 amps onto one output. And: the voltage combination is fixed at the factory, and you can't change it later. So it's better to ask us once too often than once too little.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between type 3 and type 4?

Only the second zone. Type 3 delivers 18 or 19 volts there, type 4 delivers 20 or 24 volts. The first zone is identical in both at 9 or 12 volts. So what matters is what your second device requires.

Can I change the voltage combination later?

No, the combination is fixed by the version and can't be changed afterwards. Within one zone, you can choose between the two stated voltages. That's why it's worth going through both devices with us briefly before buying.

Do the two connected devices interfere with each other?

The zones are built separately precisely so that doesn't happen. Each device gets its own, stable supply; feedback via the power supply becomes noticeably smaller than with a shared output and a splitter.

Is 4 amps per zone enough?

For streamers, DACs, network switches, reclockers and phono preamps, generally yes, by a good margin. It only gets tight with servers running several hard drives or small power amps – there, the P8 Mono with 8 amps on one output is the better choice.
