The AVM AS 30.3 + Audition CB 2.3 HiFi set is a complete stereo system made up of the AVM AS 30.3 streaming integrated amplifier and a pair of AVM Audition CB 2.3 bookshelf speakers – both components in the Cellini Chrome finish.

Chrome-plated front, full functionality: the amplifier and speakers come from the same house in Malsch and are matched to each other. All you need is a pair of speaker cables and your music – streamed, from a turntable, or via your TV.

Why buy it as a set?

Because hunting down matching components is the real work. Here, power, impedance and tuning already fit together from the factory: 2 × 125 watts into 4 Ω meet a speaker with 4 Ω nominal impedance and 140 watts of power handling – no datasheet Tetris, no fine-tuning needed. And because the hand-polished chrome front is identical on both components, the system looks like one cohesive whole rather than two random acquaintances on the shelf.

What's in the set?

The AVM AS 30.3 streaming integrated amplifier in Cellini Chrome is a hand-built all-in-one with 2 × 125 watts, a selected ESS DAC (9038 Q2M) and the AVM X-STREAM engine – complete with AirPlay 2, Roon Ready, Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz, HighResAudio, internet radio, Bluetooth 5.0 and HDMI ARC for your TV. Importantly, it has a full phono input, switchable between MM and MC – so a turntable can be connected directly. It has no CD drive; that's reserved for its sister model, the AVM CS 30.3.

Alongside it comes a pair of AVM Audition CB 2.3 bookshelf speakers in Cellini Chrome: compact 2-way bass-reflex speakers with a 160 mm sandwich woofer and fabric dome tweeter, crossover frequency 1850 Hz, 37 Hz to 50 kHz frequency range. The cabinet is made from ultra-high-density fibre material, and a height-adjustable third foot tilts the speaker towards the listening position.

Who is this set suited for – and who isn't it for?

Ideal for anyone who wants a complete, high-quality system for small to medium-sized living rooms and is happy to let it show what's on the shelf. Straight talk: the AS 30.3 has no CD drive – if you want to load CDs, get the set with the AVM CS 30.3 instead. The Cellini Chrome front costs extra and delivers exactly nothing sonically; if you prefer something more understated, choose Black or Silver and hear exactly the same thing. And if you're filling a very large room, think about floorstanding speakers instead of the compact CB 2.3.
