Grado ME+ Mono Replacement Stylus (Elliptical)

The Grado ME+ Replacement Stylus is the original replacement stylus for the ME+ mono cartridge – with an elliptical diamond and 1 mil radius, designed for mono grooves.

The cartridge body with its special mono winding stays mounted; only the front stylus assembly is swapped.

Why replace the stylus?

An intact stylus is especially critical with mono records. Many mono pressings are sixty years old and can't be replaced – a worn tip works its way irretrievably into the groove there. Replacing it is by far the cheaper decision.

Can I use this stylus to convert a stereo Grado to mono?

No. The ME+'s mono property comes from the coil alignment in the cartridge body, not from the stylus assembly. For genuine mono operation you need the complete ME+. This stylus assembly is strictly a spare part for a system you already own.
