The Gold Note Valore 425 Plus is a belt-driven turntable from Florence and the ideal entry point into the Italian Turntables Series: solidly built, finely adjustable and already fitted with the 9-inch B-5 tonearm.
In transparent acrylic, the Valore becomes an eye-catcher: it combines the see-through chassis with an opal-white platter – engineering you can watch.
Why the Valore 425 Plus?
The 30 mm thick plinth is shaped to dissipate vibrations rather than pass them on to the cartridge. The 23 mm thick platter, made of highly damped POM, is driven by a high-torque, silent 12 V synchronous motor via a ground NBR belt. The finely made 60 mm bearing with a 5 mm chrome-steel ball and the split-spindle clamping design ensure a calm, low-friction run.
Speed is electronically controlled and can be finely adjusted – 33 1/3 and 45 rpm at the push of a button instead of moving the belt. In other words: even running, low noise floor, no audible wow.
What you get
The Valore 425 Plus is delivered with the 9-inch Gold Note B-5 tonearm (derived from the B-5.1), an external power supply and a transparent dust cover with hinges. You choose a matching cartridge. Anyone who wants more later can upgrade to the finer B-5.1 tonearm.
Who is the Valore 425 Plus for?
For anyone who wants a grown-up first high-end deck that can grow with them. Bottom line: if you expect full automation and a built-in phono stage, you're in the wrong place – the Valore is a purist deck and needs a separate phono preamplifier.
Is a cartridge included?
No. The Valore 425 Plus comes with the B-5 tonearm fitted but without a cartridge. That way you tune the system – MM or MC – specifically to your taste and your phono stage. We're happy to advise you on the choice.
Our verdict
"Valore" means value in Italian – and that's exactly what this deck delivers: a lot of turntable for the money, cleanly built and with a genuine upgrade path. A deck you buy and keep for a long time.

Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between the Valore 425 Plus and the smaller Valore?
The 425 Plus is built wider and accommodates a full 9-inch tonearm – here the B-5 rather than a shorter arm. This improves the tracking geometry and, with it, tracking accuracy and sound. It can also later be upgraded to the finer B-5.1.
Does the Valore need a phono stage?
Yes. It delivers a pure turntable signal and needs a separate phono preamplifier, such as the Gold Note PH-10. We'll work out with you which one suits your cartridge.
Why buy the Gold Note Valore 425 Plus at HD Zürisee?
Because a deck only sounds as good as its set-up. HD Zürisee in Wädenswil is an authorised Gold Note dealer; we fit the matching cartridge, adjust tracking force and anti-skate, and deliver the Valore on request ready to play. Free shipping from CHF 190.
Goes well with: the matching cartridge for the B-5 arm as well as further turntables to compare.
