The DALI Sub K-14 F is an active 14-inch subwoofer from Denmark with a downfiring bass reflex port and a 450-watt Class D amplifier, built for large rooms and uncompromising home cinema.
Despite the large 14-inch cone, the cabinet stays surprisingly compact: the driver reaches almost to the edge of the black high-gloss baffle, which makes the whole unit look smaller than it is. The black aluminium cone is stiff and light at the same time and does without a dust cap – that keeps the motion cleanly piston-like. A switched-mode power supply keeps the amplifier cool, which is why the K-14 F needs no external heatsink at all.
Why the Sub K-14 F?
Because it combines raw power with control. 450 watts continuous power (500 watts peak) move the large cone effortlessly and reach down to 29 Hz – you feel that in your chest, not just your ears. The 44-litre cabinet in solid MDF gives the driver enough volume for a depth that smaller subs simply lack. And because the level goes up to 115 dB, there's still reserve even at the loudest blockbuster.
What you get
A large active subwoofer with a black high-gloss baffle on a solid MDF body in Black Ash. An aluminium base decouples the cabinet from the floor and lets it float. You adjust crossover frequency, phase and level on the back, connected via LFE or line. At HD Zürisee in Wädenswil we tune it to your front speakers and your room with you.
Who is the Sub K-14 F suited to?
Honestly: the K-14 F is a large subwoofer and wants to be treated that way. In a small room it's like an elephant in the living room – it needs space to develop its 29 Hz cleanly, and running it at ten percent wastes its potential. For large living spaces, lofts and serious home cinemas, though, there's hardly a more confident solution in this class.
Our verdict
The K-14 F isn't a subwoofer for people who just want a bit more bass – it's the end of the line. At 26.4 kilos, 44 litres of volume and 450 watts of continuous power, it builds a foundation that even large floorstanding speakers still gain from. In Black Ash with a black high-gloss baffle, it looks more like furniture than technology. If you have the space, don't think smaller than necessary here.

Frequently asked questions
What room does the Sub K-14 F need?
The K-14 F is built for large living spaces, lofts and home cinemas. In small rooms, its energy quickly seems overdone – the more compact Sub E-12 F is the smarter choice there. From around 30 square metres, the K-14 F plays confidently. We're happy to help you assess this.
How do I connect the Sub K-14 F?
Via the LFE input to your AV receiver's subwoofer output, or via the low-pass-filtered RCA line inputs to a stereo amplifier. Adjust crossover frequency, phase and level on the back to match your main speakers. That makes it compatible with practically any amplifier or processor.
What's the difference from the Sub E-12 F?
The K-14 F has the larger 14-inch cone, roughly two and a half times the continuous power (450 instead of 170 watts) and, with 44 litres, significantly more cabinet volume – it goes deeper and louder. The E-12 F is more compact and built for small to medium rooms. Your room size is what matters most.
Does the Sub K-14 F have a remote control or high-level inputs?
No, neither. All settings – level, phase, crossover frequency and auto standby – are made directly on the rear panel. Connection is exclusively via RCA through LFE or line; there are no speaker terminals for high-level. Once properly set up, it runs unchanged anyway.
