The DALI Opticon 6/1/Vokal MK2 5.0 Set is a complete home cinema speaker package from the Danish Opticon MK2 series, bringing front, center and surround together from a single line-up.
Two Opticon 6 MK2 floorstanding speakers take the front, the Opticon Vokal MK2 handles the center, and two compact Opticon 1 MK2 sit at the back – here entirely in White. Five speakers, one signature, and you'll hear that faster than you'd think.
Why the Opticon 6/1/Vokal MK2 Set?
Because a home cinema rarely fails on the best single speaker, but on the gap between them. All five models share the same SMC magnet technology and the same wood fibre cone type; the front and center speakers also carry the hybrid tweeter made of a 29 mm fabric dome and a 17 × 45 mm ribbon. Effects then travel without an audible seam from left to right and from front to back. And because everything comes from a single hand, you skip the fine-tuning you'd otherwise need to negotiate three brands into a compromise.
What you hear
Calm, first of all. The Opticon MK2 tuning is neutral and unfussy, rather than grabbing your attention with glossy highs. The two Opticon 6 MK2 speakers, each with two 6.5-inch woofers, reach down to 49 Hz – enough foundation that music and most films sound grown-up even without a subwoofer. The Vokal MK2 lifts dialogue cleanly out of the action, even while a city is collapsing in the background. The Opticon 1 MK2 speakers at the back deliver precision instead of showing off.
Who is the set suited to?
Plain talk: the Opticon 6 MK2 need room to breathe. From around 18–20 m² the set really opens up; in a 10 m² room the bass booms, and no amount of persuasion changes that. The honest tuning exposes weak soundtracks instead of smoothing them over – if you're after pure loudness slam, you're better served elsewhere. All five run at 4 Ω, so your amplifier or AV receiver should be able to handle that load. Bring the room and the right electronics, and you get an audiophile stereo pair and a confident surround system in one go.
Our verdict
The Opticon 6/1/Vokal MK2 is the set for anyone who doesn't want a second compromise: grown-up stereo sound at the front, intelligible dialogue in the center, clean surround at the back – with no seams and no fiddling. In White, it almost disappears against light-coloured walls, which makes household peace with the rest of the decor noticeably easier.

Frequently asked questions
Is the set enough without a subwoofer?
For music and most films, yes. The two Opticon 6 MK2 reach down to 49 Hz and provide a grown-up foundation. If you want to feel the last rumble of a blockbuster in your chest, add a DALI subwoofer later – we'll work out together which size suits your room.
Are all five speakers really available in White?
Yes. According to DALI, the Opticon 6 MK2, Opticon 1 MK2 and Opticon Vokal MK2 are all available in Satin White, so the set is entirely white throughout. Only the larger Opticon 8 MK2 from the same series is the odd one out in White – which doesn't matter for this set.
Are the front grilles magnetic?
No. The grilles of the Opticon MK2 series sit on pins that engage with the surrounds of the woofer/midrange and tweeter. DALI describes this as a deliberately simple solution with no magnets in the baffle. The grilles hold securely and can be removed just as quickly for critical listening.
Do I have to sit exactly in the middle?
No. The hybrid tweeter made of dome and ribbon radiates broadly, so the sound stays stable even outside the sweet spot. That's particularly handy when several people are sitting on the sofa at once and not everyone can get the best seat.
How much space do the floorstanding speakers need from the wall?
The Opticon 6 MK2 have their bass reflex port on the back and want air behind them; around 20 to 40 cm is a good starting point. The closer to the wall, the stronger the upper bass. We're happy to help you fine-tune the placement in your room.
What speaks in favour of buying this set from HD Zürisee?
The difference shows after delivery: channel assignment, level, distance and electronics need to fit together, or potential is left on the table. We do that with you in Wädenswil, including installation on site if you like. Get in touch on 044 680 22 00, via WhatsApp 076 534 22 00 (text only, no calls) or at shop@hdzuerisee.ch.
Goes well with
You'll find matching electronics under All amplifiers, further home cinema components under Home cinema and Home cinema speakers. If the deep bass calls later after all: Subwoofers. The whole brand is in the DALI overview, and the speaker cable you'll need is right next door.
