The DALI Epikore 7 in Gloss White is a compact 3.5-way high-end floorstanding speaker from the Danish Epikore series – with an EVO-K hybrid tweeter, two 7-inch Clarity Cone drivers and SMC Gen 2 technology from the flagship DALI KORE.

The Epikore series is DALI's bridge between the proven Epicon line and the uncompromising flagship KORE. From the top, the Epikore 7 inherits the essentials: the EVO-K tweeter module made up of a 35 mm soft-dome tweeter and a 10 × 55 mm planar ribbon, plus the Danish-made Clarity Cone drivers with SMC Gen 2 magnet system, which noticeably reduces magnetic hysteresis distortion. Gloss White is the youngest of the four finishes: DALI added it in November 2025, paired with grey grilles instead of black.

Why the Epikore 7 in white?

Because it packs a startlingly large share of KORE DNA into a living-room-friendly format – and in white almost disappears in bright rooms. The two 7-inch drivers deliver surprising depth down to 35 Hz without the cabinet looking bulky. The EVO-K module radiates widely and renders treble silky and effortless, the soundstage opens up wide, voices and instruments standing out in tangible relief. Anyone stepping up from the Epicon or Rubicon class will hear the jump immediately. And if you've always thought high-end had to look black and heavy: feel free to reconsider.

What you get

A pair of hand-finished high-end floorstanding speakers in white piano lacquer, with a magnetically attached grey grille, in an extremely rigid, low-resonance cabinet. Eight magnetic spikes for floor decoupling, bi-wiring links, a cleaning cloth and floor protection pads are included. At HD Zürisee in Wädenswil we'll discuss with you which electronics really bring out the Epikore 7's potential, and deliver and set it up in your home.

Who is the Epikore 7 suitable for? (and who isn't it for)

Let's be clear: the Epikore 7 wants room and an amplifier with control. In a 12 m² room it's overkill, and on an underpowered mini-amp you won't unlock its potential. It doesn't flatter anything either and shows poorly produced recordings for what they are. If you have a medium to large room, a powerful amp and a genuine appetite for high-end resolution, you get one of the most convincing packages in its class. And gloss white wants looking after: dust shows up sooner on a light lacquer surface than on a dark one.

Our verdict

The Epikore 7 delivers on DALI's promise: KORE technology, scaled down to a format that fits a normal living room. White is the finish for bright, modern rooms where a black tower would look out of place. Technically it's identical to the other three – the colour changes nothing about the sound, but everything about the impression it makes.

Frequently asked questions

How big should the room be for the Epikore 7?

The Epikore 7 needs roughly 20 m² upwards and sounds best in medium to large rooms. In small rooms it can't build the full soundstage and the bass can dominate. Tell us how your room is laid out and we'll give you an honest answer on whether it fits.

Which amplifier suits the Epikore 7?

DALI cites 40 to 400 watts. Thanks to 88 dB efficiency and a forgiving 6 Ω impedance, it plays cleanly even on medium-powered amplifiers. But it only becomes truly dynamic with a powerful, well-controlled amp – for example from MOON, NAD or Advance Paris. We'll work out the right combination with you.

Since when has the Epikore 7 been available in Gloss White?

DALI added the white finish in November 2025. Before that, the Epikore series was only available in gloss black, walnut and maroon. The white piano lacquer comes with grey grilles instead of black. Sonically, nothing changes: all four finishes are technically identical.

What's the difference between the Epikore 7 and the Epikore 9?

The Epikore 7 is the slim 3.5-way version with two 7-inch drivers and depth down to 35 Hz. The Epikore 9 is a 4-way system with two 8-inch woofers plus a separate midrange driver and goes down to 29 Hz. It's the choice for large rooms and more low-end.
