The Clearaudio Statement v2 is clearaudio's roughly 350 kg flagship turntable – a multi-platter system with contactless magnetic coupling and patented magnetic platter bearing (CMB) that has for years been the benchmark for super-high-end turntables.
A self-levelling pendulum of around 80 kg floats in a gimbal bearing with oil damping and keeps the chassis permanently level, while a microprocessor-controlled motor checks the speed 7,000 times a minute. The Statement v2 is supplied with the TT1 tangential tonearm and the flagship Goldfinger Statement cartridge.
Why the Statement v2?
Because the Statement consistently eliminates almost every mechanical source of disturbance. The drive platter is magnetically decoupled from the main platter, the construction of stainless steel, aluminium and Panzerholz smothers resonances, and the pendulum levels the plane automatically – with no air pump at all, so no noise and no maintenance. Straight talk: this isn't something you just buy on a whim, but an uncompromising statement that pushes clearaudio's technology to its absolute limit.
What you get
A complete reference system: the Statement v2 turntable with an integrated, multi-layer damped stand, the TT1 tangential arm and the Goldfinger Statement cartridge. Two further pivoted tonearms – such as the Universal 12″ – can be added, for up to three arms in total. Setup and alignment are carried out by a trained clearaudio technician on site; we coordinate that for you.
Who is the Statement v2 for?
For the uncompromising collector who wants the very best and has the space for it – with tonearm, the turntable stands 1.3 metres tall and weighs as much as three small-car engines combined. Straight talk: the Statement v2 is big, heavy and needs plenty of consultation. Anyone looking for a normal living-room solution finds the smarter choice in the Innovation or Ovation range.
Our verdict
The Statement v2 is less a turntable than a statement about how far analogue technology can go once budget and physics stop arguing. What impresses isn't the mass, but how unspectacularly calm the thing runs. Honestly: anyone who ends up here has already covered the road to get there – and we accompany the last step, from room concept to finished alignment.

Frequently asked questions
How heavy is the Statement v2 – and how is it set up?
Complete, the Statement v2 weighs in at around 350 kg, and with the TT1 arm measures about 690 × 570 mm at 1,325 mm in height. Setup and alignment are carried out by a trained clearaudio technician directly on site; after that, operation is surprisingly simple.
Which tonearm and cartridge come with it?
From the factory, the Statement v2 comes with the TT1 tangential tonearm and the Goldfinger Statement cartridge. Two further pivoted tonearms can be added, for example the Universal 12″ – for up to three arms in total, for different cartridges or mono and stereo.
Does the Statement v2 need an air pump or compressor?
No. Levelling is handled by a roughly 80 kg pendulum floating in a gimbal bearing with oil damping. It automatically compensates for uneven floors – with no noise, no maintenance interval and no extra device in the room.
Is the Statement v2 available in different finishes?
Yes. Standard is Panzerholz natural; the piano black finish (TT044B) is available at extra cost. We clarify details, colour choice and delivery time with the importer once it's decided which variant it will be. clearaudio also grants 10 years of warranty with a registered warranty card.
Why buy the Statement v2 from HD Zürisee?
Because a turntable of this size needs planning, setup and professional installation. We accompany the project from advice through coordination with clearaudio to the finished system – personally, from Wädenswil, with experience from many years in high-end.
