The Clearaudio Smart Power 24V Statement is the version of the battery power supply tailored to the Statement turntable: it disconnects the drive from the mains during operation and feeds it with DC current from NiMH batteries.

The circuitry and housing are built for the flagship – aluminium combined with Panzerholz laminate wood, solidly built, low in resonance and electromagnetically shielded. A unit you don't accidentally shift.

Why the Smart Power 24V Statement?

If you're running a turntable of this calibre, the power supply is exactly the wrong place to start cutting corners. In battery operation there's no longer any conductive connection to the mains, so interference can't cross over in the first place. The Statement drive reacts to the smallest changes in voltage – and it's exactly those that the Smart Power keeps as flat as physically possible.

What you hear

A completely calm, stable soundstage behind the voices and a composure that lets the Statement fully come into its own for the first time. Especially with large orchestral recordings, everything stays sorted where it previously crowded together ever so slightly.

Who is the Smart Power 24V Statement for?

For owners of a Statement turntable – here it's mandatory, not optional. Plain talk: for an Ovation or Innovation it's oversized; that's what the standard version of the Smart Power 24V is for. It's large, wants space and ventilation, and the batteries become a service item after some years. Both are things to know beforehand, not after.

Our verdict

On a Statement, the power supply is no longer a matter of taste, but part of the design. The Smart Power 24V Statement delivers exactly what a turntable of this class needs: absolute calm in the drive and no argument left about the mains. Once you've gone this far, you'll hear the difference – and won't want to give it up.

Frequently asked questions

Can I also run it on an Ovation or Innovation?

Technically it delivers 24 volts too, but the circuitry and build are entirely tailored to the Statement. For Ovation and Innovation turntables we recommend the standard version of the Smart Power 24V – it's more compact, more affordable and the better match for those drives. Ask us if you're unsure.

How long does a battery charge last?

Thanks to its generously sized capacity, it's enough for long listening sessions. When the voltage runs low, the system switches to buffer mode in good time and recharges while playback continues. An abrupt end in the middle of a record side is not on the cards.

Is a battery replacement complicated?

Not for you. Batteries are wear parts and lose capacity after a few years; we carry out the replacement in Wädenswil to expert standard, so the system delivers full runtime and performance again. Just get in touch when the displayed remaining runtime becomes noticeably shorter.

Why buy the Clearaudio Smart Power 24V Statement from HD Zürisee?

Because we set up, align and look after systems of this class over the years – with our own in-house technician instead of a hotline abroad. We deliver and install on-site on request and stay reachable afterwards. Call us on +41 44 680 22 00, WhatsApp 076 534 22 00 (text only, no calls) or shop@hdzuerisee.ch.
