The Clearaudio Master Jubilee is a high-end turntable that clearaudio developed further from the Reference Jubilee – with a raised sandwich chassis, an external motor unit and room for two tonearms.

The extra mass under the platter, the patented magnetic platter bearing (CMB) and Optical Speed Control (OSC) bring this roughly 33 kg turntable to measurements that stand out even in this class.

Why the Master Jubilee?

The Master Jubilee takes the technology of the Reference Jubilee and scales it up. The raised chassis of laminated wood and aluminium calms the running further, and the high-torque 24 V DC motor sits in its own, roughly 4.6 kg motor unit next to the turntable – decoupled via 18 O-rings, so none of its vibrations reach the stylus. Straight talk: this is precision engineering at the top end – the gain over the Reference Jubilee is real, but it's something for people who want the very last bit.

What you get

A turntable with an external motor unit and the Professional Power 24V power supply, prepared for up to two tonearms – radial, tangential or mixed. We'll put together the arm(s) and cartridge with you, so the Master Jubilee becomes exactly the turntable that suits your system and your records.

Who is the Master Jubilee for?

For experienced analogue listeners seeking an anniversary reference turntable with a two-arm option who have the space for it: turntable and motor unit together need at least 495 × 427 mm of footprint. Straight talk: if you only run one arm and don't need the extra mass, the Reference Jubilee gets you practically the same core technology, more compact and cheaper.

Our verdict

The Master Jubilee is the answer to a question few people ask – and whoever does ask gets a very good one here. Two arms, external motor, self-calibrating control: this is a turntable to keep, not to resell. Tell us which cartridges you want to run in parallel, and we'll plan the arm setup correctly from the start.

Frequently asked questions

What distinguishes the Master Jubilee from the Reference Jubilee?

The Master Jubilee has a raised chassis with more mass and an external motor unit of roughly 4.6 kg instead of a built-in motor. It also allows two tonearms to be mounted. The core technology – CMB bearing, OSC, decoupled 24 V motor – it shares with the Reference Jubilee.

Can I run two tonearms?

Yes. The raised chassis with external motor unit is prepared for up to two tonearms, radial as well as tangential – handy for running MM and MC, or mono and stereo, in parallel, for instance. We'll set up both arms cleanly.

Is a tonearm or cartridge included?

No. The scope of delivery includes the turntable with motor unit and the Professional Power 24V power supply; you choose tonearm(s) and cartridge to go with it. That's exactly what our advice is for – we match arm, cartridge and phono stage to your system.

How much space and load capacity do I need?

The turntable measures 495 × 426.5 mm and is 242.5 mm high with armboard; the separately standing motor unit comes on top of that. At around 33 kg plus arm and cartridge, it needs a truly rigid, level base – a good rack is no luxury here.
