The Clearaudio Master Innovation is the flagship of the Innovation range – a high-end turntable with a contactless, magnetically coupled multi-platter drive derived from the Statement flagship, patented magnetic platter bearing (CMB) and Optical Speed Control (OSC).
Decoupled platters, double the flywheel mass of the standard Innovation and a construction of Panzerholz and aluminium deliver an exceptionally calm, precise run – with room for up to three tonearms.
Why the Master Innovation?
The heart of it is the multi-platter drive derived from the Statement: the bottom drive platter is moved by belt and couples magnetically – without contact – to the platter above it. Main and drive platter thus run almost friction-free, while Optical Speed Control holds speed via infrared sensor to better than ± 0.05 %. Straight talk: this is Statement technology in a living-room-friendly format – and even available as an upgrade for Innovation owners.
What you get
A turntable in reference technology, prepared for up to three tonearms. Standard is black acrylic or laminated wood with aluminium in black or silver; special finishes such as piano black, white or red lacquer as well as higher configuration levels are available on request. We'll put together arm(s), cartridge and power supply with you – battery operation via Smart Power 24V Ovation/Innovation is also an option.
Who is the Master Innovation for?
For anyone who wants Statement drive technology without the 350 kg effort and wants to run several systems in parallel. With a footprint of 460 × 485 mm and around 60 kg it stays living-room friendly, but demands a load-bearing rack. Straight talk: if you only use one arm and don't need double flywheel mass, the standard Innovation serves you perfectly well – and you can always upgrade later.
Our verdict
The Master Innovation is the most sensible route to clearaudio's uncompromising drive technology: the same idea as in the Statement, just in a size that fits through a normal door. Three armboards make it a turntable that grows with your ambitions instead of capping them. Tell us which cartridges you want to run, and we'll plan the order correctly from the start.

Frequently asked questions
What makes the Master Innovation special?
Its contactlessly coupled multi-platter drive comes from the Statement flagship. Main and drive platter are magnetically decoupled and run almost friction-free; the double flywheel mass and Optical Speed Control keep the speed stable to better than ± 0.05 %.
How many tonearms can I mount?
Up to three. That lets you run different cartridges or mono and stereo systems in parallel. Arms aren't included – we'll help you choose them, set them up cleanly and match the systems to each other.
Can I upgrade my Innovation to a Master Innovation?
Yes, clearaudio provides for an upgrade from Innovation to Master Innovation level. Whether it's worthwhile in your case we'll look at together – the price depends on the starting model and the finish you want and is available on request.
What finishes and dimensions are available?
Standard is black acrylic or laminated wood with aluminium in black or silver; piano black as well as white or red lacquer are available on request. The turntable measures 460 × 485 mm at 396 mm high with armboard and weighs around 60 kg.
