The Clearaudio Jubilee MM Replacement Stylus is the original stylus replacement for the Clearaudio Jubilee MM moving magnet cartridge.

The Jubilee MM is the cartridge with which Clearaudio first worked Panzerholz into a cartridge body – a densified laminated wood that gives resonances almost no chance. This body outlives any stylus by years. So when the diamond's time is up, only the stylus unit is renewed.

Why the original stylus replacement?

On the Jubilee MM, the body is the expensive, elaborate part: carved from solid material, finished in the Franconian violin-making tradition, and then selected. Replacing it over a worn stylus would be like scrapping a car over worn tires. The factory swap fits a new stylus unit and restores the selected measured values.

A freshly fitted Jubilee MM: an elliptically ground diamond on an aluminum cantilever, around 3.6 mV output voltage, 26 dB channel separation at 1 kHz, and full tracking reserve once again. The Panzerholz body, generator and magnets stay yours – including the character it's developed over time.

Can I change the stylus on the Jubilee MM myself?

No. The Jubilee MM isn't designed for a user stylus change – the cartridge is sent in and fitted with a new stylus unit at the factory. There's no plug-in system here like on the smaller Clearaudio N1. We organize the process for you.

Is the Jubilee MM an MM or an MC system?

The Jubilee MM is a moving magnet system, which is exactly why the stylus unit can be renewed at all. The also-available Jubilee MC is a moving coil system – there the coils sit on the cantilever, and instead of a stylus swap there's retipping or an exchange system.

What happens to my Panzerholz body?

It stays yours. Only the stylus unit is replaced; the body, generator and magnets go back to you unchanged. That's exactly the point of the process: the elaborate part of the cartridge doesn't wear out, only the diamond does.
