The Clearaudio Diamond Jubilee MC is a moving coil cartridge with a zirconium oxide body and the brand's absolute flagship — a special edition limited to 45 units worldwide to mark the company's 45th anniversary.
Zirconium oxide is one of the hardest and most stable materials in the industry; Clearaudio manufactures the body to a tolerance of 0.001 mm. This damps unwanted resonances to a minimum. Technologies from the Goldfinger Statement V2.1 feature here in refined form — from the ultra-thin 24-karat gold wire to the integrated RF shielding.
Why the Diamond Jubilee MC?
Because everything Clearaudio has learned in 45 years of analogue technology comes together here. The newly angled boron cantilever improves tracking accuracy, the Prime Line PLUS diamond reads even the finest groove structures, and the optimised coil and magnet system delivers excellent channel separation. A channel balance under 0.15 dB and separation above 35 dB speak for themselves.
What you hear
When the chain allows it: imaging of surgical precision combined with vast spatial scale. Clarity, dynamics and richness of detail at a level that retells every familiar recording anew — calm, colourful and completely free of harshness.
Who is the Diamond Jubilee MC for?
For collectors and uncompromising analogue listeners with a chain at the very highest level. To be blunt: the Diamond Jubilee MC is a statement, not an everyday tool — on a mid-range arm or an average phono stage it simply won't show its worth. And it's strictly limited: once the edition sells out, it's gone.
Our verdict
45 years of analogue experience, distilled into 45 units. There's no more Clearaudio than this — and there never was.

Frequently asked questions
What makes the zirconium oxide body so special?
Zirconium oxide is extremely hard and resonance-stable. Combined with the 0.001 mm manufacturing tolerance, the body keeps unwanted resonances out — the foundation for this system's extraordinary calm and precision.
How many units exist?
The Diamond Jubilee MC is limited to 45 units worldwide, marking Clearaudio's 45th anniversary. It's supplied in a glass pyramid case. If you're interested, we'll check current availability with the importer right away.
Can the stylus on the Diamond Jubilee MC be replaced?
No. On moving coil systems, the diamond is permanently connected to the generator, so a stylus swap is impossible by design. Instead, Clearaudio exchanges MC systems on trade-in terms. For a limited edition, we clarify the terms with the manufacturer beforehand — so you know exactly where you stand.
What chain does the Diamond Jubilee MC need?
A top-class turntable and tonearm, plus an uncompromising MC phono stage with a low-noise input. With a system in this class, the whole chain has a say in the result — we advise you specifically on the right combination.
Why buy the Diamond Jubilee MC from HD Zürisee?
Because a cartridge in this class demands expertise and experience. Mauri sets up your Diamond Jubilee in Wädenswil with the precision it needs, and we support the build of the entire chain. Contact: +41 44 680 22 00 or shop@hdzuerisee.ch.
