The Canton Vento Sub 1 is the active subwoofer of the new Vento 2026 series, laying the bass foundation for stereo and home cinema setups with a 308 mm ATB woofer, downfire passive radiator, and up to 750 watts of music power.

Here in black high gloss, with the iconic bow shape of the new Vento generation – a subwoofer that looks like a piece of furniture and hits like a powerhouse.

Why the Canton Vento Sub 1?

Because it does what a good subwoofer should: deliver a foundation without pushing itself into the foreground. The 308 mm woofer with ATB cone (Aluminium Titan Black) sits at the front, the equally sized passive radiator fires downwards – this spreads the bass evenly around the room and makes placement uncritical. The curved multi-layer MDF enclosure keeps resonances low, the digital amplifier delivers 250 watts nominal and up to 750 watts of music power, and via adjustable crossover frequency (50–200 Hz), level, phase, and room adjustment you tune it precisely to your speakers – from the Vento 21 up to the 101.

What you get

  • Active subwoofer from the Vento 2026 series with digital amplifier, up to 750 W music power
  • 308 mm ATB woofer (frontfire) + passive radiator (downfire)
  • Extension down to 20 Hz – controlled, not bloated
  • Crossover frequency 50–200 Hz adjustable, level, phase, and room adjustment
  • High- and low-level inputs, low-level output for daisy-chaining
  • Curved multi-layer MDF enclosure against resonances, decoupled plinth
  • Design and sound signature matching the whole Vento family

Who is the Canton Vento Sub 1 for?

Plain talk: the Vento Sub 1 belongs with Vento setups – as a low-end partner for the compact 21/31, as a cinema foundation under the 51 and floorstanders, or in stereo operation when you want that last half-octave of room. If you just want to spruce up a soundbar, a Smart Sub serves you more cheaply. And if you're already running a Vento 101 at full tilt in a large room, you might not need it at all – has to be said honestly too.

Our verdict

The Vento Sub 1 is the finishing touch of the new Vento series: deep, controlled, living-room-ready. At HD Zürisee in Wädenswil we tune crossover frequency and placement to your room – because a well-set-up subwoofer never draws attention to itself, you only miss it when it's gone.

Frequently asked questions

Which speakers does the Vento Sub 1 pair with?

It's tonally matched to the Vento 2026 series – from the Vento 21 up to the 101 – and, thanks to its adjustable crossover frequency of 50 to 200 Hz, also blends well with other compact and floorstanding speakers. We're happy to help you set the right crossover frequency together.

How deep does the Vento Sub 1 go?

Down to 20 Hz. The 308 mm ATB woofer and the downward-firing passive radiator deliver genuine, controlled deep bass – film effects gain weight, music gets a clean foundation, without booming or ringing.

Is the Vento Sub 1 difficult to position?

No. The downfire principle spreads the bass evenly around the room, and with level, phase, and room adjustment you can electronically compensate for placement compromises. Freestanding, near a wall, or in a corner – the Sub 1 can be adapted to almost any position.

How much space does the Vento Sub 1 need?

With the plinth it measures 43 × 51 × 51 centimetres, the enclosure alone 38.9 × 52 × 47.2 centimetres. Add 30.5 kilograms to that – so it's worth planning the spot properly once, rather than shoving it across the living room later.

Why buy the Canton Vento Sub 1 from HD Zürisee?

Because a subwoofer only shines with the right setup. We give you honest advice on room and speaker match, deliver, and set it up on site on request – with our own technician and a team that's done nothing but good sound since the nineties.
