The Canton GLE 30 S2 is the largest compact speaker in the GLE series – a 2-way bookshelf speaker that packs grown-up Canton sound into a living-room-friendly cabinet.

A 174 mm woofer/midrange with an ATB diaphragm (Aluminium Titan Black) and the 25 mm AB tweeter with waveguide play from 38 to 40,000 Hz – punchy in the bass, clear in the mids, open in the highs. A slim 19 cm wide, delivered as a pair.

Why the Canton GLE 30 S2?

Because "compact" doesn't mean "small in sound" here. The 174 mm ATB driver uses the same diaphragm type as the large GLE floorstanding speakers – stiff, light, low in distortion. Add to that the AB tweeter with waveguide, which radiates cleanly even when you're not sitting exactly on-axis. With 89 dB efficiency and 4–8 ohms it's uncomplicated: a normal stereo or AV amplifier is entirely enough. The rear-facing bass reflex port (backfire) gives you flexibility in placement.

Straight talk: the GLE 30 S2 is a fit if you want rich sound but have no room for floorstanding speakers – as a stereo pair on stands or on a shelf, or as high-quality rear speakers in a home cinema.
