Because it aims the sound exactly where you sit. The heart is the same as in the GLE 10 S2 – a 154mm ATB driver with wave surround, waveguide tweeter, closed cabinet only 9 cm deep – but instead of feet, it comes with a universal swivel bracket. That lets you aim it on the wall or ceiling precisely at your listening position, panning and tilting as needed. The closed principle remains forgiving in placement and won't boom even close to a wall. Plain and simple: the GLE 10 PRO S2 is for anyone who wants to aim their wall or ceiling speakers precisely – as surround or rear channels, or, swivelled onto the ceiling, as height channels in a Dolby Atmos setup. The swivel bracket is worth its weight in gold exactly when the speaker needs to play at an angle onto the sofa rather than head-on. If you just want to place it on a shelf, the regular GLE 10 S2 with its feet is the more affordable choice. For deep stereo bass in a large room you'll need larger speakers and a subwoofer anyway.
