The Canton Atelier InWall 9 C is a flat 3-way center in-wall speaker for horizontal installation below or above the screen.

Black silk matt is the most discreet choice when the media wall is kept dark – combined with the frameless fabric cover, there's practically nothing left of the center to see. It's sonically matched to the Atelier InWall 9 front speakers.

Why the Atelier InWall 9 C?

Because a center needs to do more than reproduce speech: it carries effects along when a scene gets loud. Here, the 128 mm aluminium-titanium midrange driver gets its own woofer and two passive radiators alongside it – hence the 35 Hz lower cut-off frequency and 120-watt nominal power handling.

What you hear

Intelligible dialogue even at low volume, which after 10pm in an apartment is worth more than any spec sheet. Voices stay anchored to the centre of the picture, and the handover to the front speakers goes unnoticed during a pan.

Who is the Atelier InWall 9 C suited to?

For permanently planned home cinemas with InWall 9 front speakers, in normal-sized living rooms. Honestly: in a large cinema room with high level requirements, the Atelier InWall 11 C is the better fit. And a 91 × 20.5 cm cut-out needs planning before the painter comes, not after.

Frequently asked questions

What wall opening and installation depth does the InWall 9 C need?

The horizontal cut-out measures 91 × 20.5 cm at 8.2 cm installation depth; with the cover plate it's 95 × 24.5 × 8.5 cm. In drywall this is usually unproblematic as long as one stud is repositioned. We'll look at your wall construction together beforehand.

Can I also install the center in a solid wall?

Yes, if a recess with 8.2 cm of usable depth is prepared, or a stud-wall lining is built in front. In existing buildings that's the more involved but perfectly doable option. Mauri, our technician, will tell you which route makes sense for you after a look on site.

Does the InWall 9 C also work with the larger InWall 11 front speakers?

It works, but it's made for the InWall 9 front speakers. With InWall 11 on the left and right, the InWall 11 C gives you more headroom and a more seamless transition. We'll work out what makes sense for your room before you order.

Is the center sold individually or in pairs?

Individually, sales unit is one piece. A home cinema needs exactly one center; front speakers, rears and any subwoofer come separately. We'll put together the complete list for you so nothing is missing on installation day.
