The Canton Atelier InWall 11 C is a flat 3-way in-wall centre speaker for horizontal installation in the wall.

In silk-matte black it disappears completely into a dark media wall – which is practical, since the TV hangs right above or below it. At 8.2 cm installation depth it stays within the wall plane instead of standing as a box under the screen.

Why the Atelier InWall 11 C?

Because speech intelligibility isn't an accident. Canton pairs a 174 mm aluminium-titanium midrange driver with a 174 mm woofer here and flanks both with two passive radiators – giving the centre real volume beneath the voices. The 25 mm aluminium tweeter makes sure sibilants stay sibilants instead of turning into noise.

What you hear

Clear, warm dialogue with body, firmly anchored to the picture. The horizontal layout spreads the sound evenly across the row of seats, so the outer seat doesn't become the penalty seat. During action scenes, the voice stays on top instead of being run over by the effects track.

What wall opening and installation depth does the InWall 11 C need?

The horizontal cutout measures 111 × 28.5 cm, the installation depth 8.2 cm; with the cover the centre comes to 115 × 32.5 × 9.6 cm. At this width the stud framing needs to be swapped out. We clarify this with you and your carpenter beforehand.

Does the InWall 11 C fit drywall or a solid wall?

Both work. In drywall the 8.2 cm depth is usually a given; in solid walls you need a prepared niche or a false wall. How much insulation makes sense depends on the neighbouring room – Mauri, our technician, assesses that on site.

Does the centre have to match the InWall 11 fronts?

We recommend it, yes. The same driver family and the same voicing give a transition with no audible break as sound pans from left to right. It works with other fronts too, but rarely sounds as cohesive. We tell you what fits in your specific case.
