The Cabasse The Pearl Akoya with Stand in White is an active streaming compact speaker bundled with the matching, 70-centimetre-tall Cabasse floor stand in pearl white.

Why the Akoya with stand?

An omnidirectional speaker lives off its surroundings. When the Akoya stands freely on the stand rather than on a piece of furniture, the 360-degree radiation works the way Cabasse intended: with clean distance from wall and shelf surface. The speaker itself brings three ways, 1050 watts RMS, the coaxial BCI driver and the 17 cm HELD woofer; CRCS room correction handles the fine-tuning via the app.

What you get

The stand is a metal construction with a 25-by-25-centimetre base, 6.4 kilograms of dead weight and internal cable routing – the Akoya stands solidly and the power cable disappears into the tube. The speaker plays via LAN or dual-band WLAN, AirPlay 2, Bluetooth, plus optical, USB and the analogue 3.5 mm jack, formats up to 24-bit/192 kHz. Roon users have found it as its own zone in their library since the Pearl series' 2025 certification. It still runs without a subscription: internet radio, network shares, TV, or a turntable with a phono stage.

Who is the set for – and who isn't it for?

For bright rooms and freestanding placement, where a white speaker reads as calmer than a black block. Hand on heart: what's delivered is one speaker with one stand – for stereo you need two sets. And if the Akoya is going on the wall or a shelf anyway, you're better off skipping the stand.

Is the stand included in the set?

Yes. You get the Akoya in pearl white and the colour-matched Cabasse stand delivered together, complete with the speaker's full accessories. Bought separately as an accessory, the stand costs extra – in this set it's a fixed component.

How stable does the Akoya stand on the stand?

Very stable. The stand is a metal construction with a 25-by-25-centimetre base and 6.4 kilograms of dead weight, the speaker weighs 8 kilograms. On carpet, a level surface is recommended so the base doesn't wobble.

How do I get stereo with this set?

By getting two of them. Each set contains one speaker and one stand; in the StreamCONTROL app you assign left and right channels to two Akoya. A single set plays in mono and suits secondary rooms well.

Is the Akoya in this set Roon Ready?

Yes, since the Pearl series' 2025 certification. In Roon's partner overview, the Akoya is listed both as Roon Ready and as Roon Tested. All you need is current firmware from the StreamCONTROL app. The speaker doesn't support MQA or aptX; Bluetooth runs with SBC and AAC.

Can I still hang the Akoya on the wall later?

Yes. Cabasse offers a dedicated wall mount for the Akoya that you add separately. The stand then remains a flexible solution for another room – so it isn't wasted if your setup changes.
