AVM RC 5 Aluminium Remote Control for AVM Devices

The AVM RC 5 is a high-quality aluminium remote control for AVM devices that brings noticeably more quality feel into your living room than its little sibling, the AVM RC 3. The solid aluminium housing sits nicely in the hand, the buttons have a pleasantly firm click – no comparison to the usual plasticky rattle you're used to from bundled remotes. Visually, too, it suits a device made from brushed aluminium itself far better than any generic universal remote from a big-box retailer.

The RC 5 is developed specifically for the current .3 generation of the AVM device lineup: volume, source selection, mute and program selection are all right under your finger, without having to click through a menu first. If you already own an AVM RC 3, you lose no functionality – the RC 5 is simply the upgrade for anyone who also cares about material quality in their accessories and is bothered by creaky plastic parts. At HD Zürisee in Wädenswil, we're happy to tell you which remote suits your AVM device and whether switching from the RC 3 to the RC 5 is even worth it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the RC 5 fit my older AVM device?

The RC 5 is developed for the current .3 generation of AVM devices and isn't approved for every older model. For earlier series, the simpler AVM RC 3 is often the right choice. Tell us which AVM device you own, and we'll tell you which remote really fits.

What's the difference between the RC 5 and the AVM RC 3?

Mainly material and price tier: the RC 5 comes with a solid aluminium housing and costs CHF 349.00, while the AVM RC 3 at CHF 200.00 is the more affordable entry-level option. Both operate the same basic AVM functions – if you want more quality feel in your hand, go for the RC 5.

Why buy the AVM RC 5 from HD Zürisee?
