The AVM PC 3.3 is a mains filter and power conditioner that supplies up to six devices with filtered power while also protecting them from overvoltage.
Clean power is the least conspicuous ingredient in good sound – and the most commonly underestimated. AVM builds its high-end electronics in Malsch, in Baden, and brings the same care to the mains socket: a flat metal chassis with two high-current and four source outlets, each with its own RF filter stage, plus a switchable OLED display that shows voltage, mains quality and load in real time.
Why the PC 3.3?
Because it does two things at once. First, it filters the grime out of the mains: a central DC filter at the input takes the hum out of toroidal transformers, and every outlet has its own RF filter stage with generously sized film capacitors – so the devices don't contaminate each other. Second, it protects: the surge protection responds up to 6,000 A in 30 ms, plus a manually resettable RCD switch and active phase detection at the input.
What you get
A tidy, central power supply for your system: two high-current outlets up to 16 A for amplifiers and power amps, plus four source outlets up to 2 A for sensitive devices like streamers, DACs or phono preamps. All outputs are Schuko sockets (CEE 7/3), the mains input is a 16 A IEC C20 inlet – the matching power cord is included. Maximum 3,680 W at 230 V. The display can be switched off completely if you'd rather have it unobtrusive in the dark. This version comes in silver.
Who is the PC 3.3 suited for?
Straight talk: for anyone with a good system who wants to squeeze the last bit of calm and blackness out of it – without climbing straight into esoteric price territory. If you only run a TV and a soundbar, you don't need it. But if you want to supply your power amp, streamer and sources cleanly and safely, this is exactly right. For very large setups with many source components, it's worth looking at the bigger PC 5.3. And a note for Switzerland: the outlets are Schuko sockets, not Swiss T13 sockets – we'll work out together beforehand which power cords your devices need.
Our verdict
The PC 3.3 is no miracle cure, but solid craftsmanship applied exactly where nobody in most systems ever looks. Six slots, each individually filtered, plus a protection package that saves expensive electronics in an emergency, and a display that shows you what's really going on in your line. In silver, it fits most AVM systems perfectly.

Frequently asked questions
What does a power conditioner like the AVM PC 3.3 do for the sound?
It removes interference from the mains that shows up as noise or harshness, and decouples the devices from one another. The result is a calmer background from which fine details emerge more clearly. How strong the effect is depends on your mains supply and your system.
How many devices can I connect to the PC 3.3?
Six: two high-current outlets up to 16 A for amplifiers or power amps, and four source outlets up to 2 A for streamers, DACs, CD players or phono preamps. The source outputs are fused at 2 A slow-blow, and total power is 3,680 W at 230 volts.
What sockets does the AVM PC 3.3 have?
All six outlets are Schuko sockets to CEE 7/3, not Swiss T13 sockets. The mains input is a 16 A IEC C20 inlet; a power cord with a Schuko plug to C19 coupler is included. We're happy to go through with you beforehand which device cables you'll need in Switzerland.
PC 3.3 or PC 5.3 – which one suits me?
Both filter identically: central DC filtering at the input and a dedicated RF filter stage per outlet. The difference is size. The PC 3.3 has two high-current and four source outputs, the PC 5.3 has four and eight, plus a galvanically isolated 15 V connection for turntables.
