Why the MA 30.3 MK2?

Separate chassis mean separate power supplies and maximum channel separation – neither channel has to borrow current from the other when things get loud. A MOS-FET output stage running in Class A/AB draws on a 550 VA toroidal transformer with over 40,000 µF of filter capacitance and delivers 300 watts at 4 ohms, 180 watts at 8 ohms. Compared with the original MA 30.3 series, which delivered 232 watts at 4 ohms and weighed 10.1 kilograms, the MK2 is noticeably more powerful and, at 12 kilograms, also heavier. A damping factor above 500 keeps even demanding multi-way speaker designs firmly under control. It's built by hand at the AVM factory in Malsch.

What you get

Two monoblocks with an alternately usable XLR and RCA input, duplicated and internally paralleled speaker terminals for bi-wiring, and the AIR function (AVM Intelligent Remote), which switches both power amplifiers on and off together with the preamplifier – no extra trigger cable needed.
