Couldn't load pickup availability
The AVM Evolution MP 3.3 is a streaming preamplifier with CD drive, bundling a network streamer, Pure CD drive, a double-quad DAC and an analog transistor preamp into a single chassis.
The silver, screwless aluminum front looks classic and uncluttered – behind it sits a complete source and preamp center. Streaming, CD, digital sources and volume control: all there, all from one unit.
Why the MP 3.3?
The Evolution series is built by hand at AVM in Malsch, Germany, with a burn-in period and repeated quality checks before shipping. The MP 3.3 pairs the X-STREAM Engine® with a Pure CD slot-in drive and a double-quad DAC, in which four ESS9028PRO converters per channel work in parallel. The preamp stays purely transistor-based, tuned for the utmost linearity and clarity – tubes and a viewing window in the lid, in this line-up, are reserved for the MP 5.3 alone.
What you get
Full source variety with no extra box: HDMI ARC, one optical and one coaxial digital input each, plus a USB port for hard drives and sticks. Streaming runs via AirPlay 2, Roon Ready, Spotify Connect, Qobuz, Tidal Connect, HighResAudio and internet radio, over LAN or Wi-Fi, plus Bluetooth 5.0 – high-resolution up to 384 kHz / 32-bit and DSD256. On the analog side you output via XLR or RCA, fixed or level-controlled as you choose; volume is controlled entirely in the analog domain. It's operated via the RC X app or the included RC 3 full-aluminum remote control.
Who is the MP 3.3 right for – and who isn't it for?
The right choice if you want a versatile digital and streaming center with a preamp and plan to pair it with a separate power amp. Let's be honest: if you prefer the warmer tube-based sound, the MP 5.3 with its Tube Line Stage is the one for you. And if you listen a lot through headphones, factor in a separate headphone amp – there's no headphone jack here. The MP 3.3 is the transistor-precise, neutrally tuned variant, deliberately built that way rather than a stripped-down option.
Can I control the volume on the MP 3.3?
Yes. The MP 3.3 is a full-fledged preamplifier and controls volume entirely in the analog domain. The analog outputs (XLR and RCA) can be switched to variable or fixed, so you can connect it directly to a power amp or to active speakers.
Our verdict
The MP 3.3 bundles everything that happens before the power amp into one elegant chassis – CD, streaming, conversion, preamp. In Silver, it's a timeless centerpiece for the system, with serious German craftsmanship behind it. Frequently Asked Questions
What all can the MP 3.3 do?
It's a CD player, network streamer, double-quad DAC and analog preamp all in one. You play CDs, stream from the network, connect digital sources and control the volume – all in a single unit that you connect directly to a power amp.
Does the MP 3.3 have a tube preamp?
No. The MP 3.3 is purely transistor-based and has a closed aluminum lid. The Tube Line Stage with tubes and a viewing window in the lid is reserved for the MP 5.3. Sonically, that means neutral and precise rather than warm and velvety.
Can I connect headphones to the MP 3.3?
No, the MP 3.3 has no headphone jack. You solve this with a separate headphone amp connected to the variable pre-out or the fixed line-out. We're happy to tell you which one suits your headphones – it comes down to impedance and sensitivity.
Can I control the MP 3.3 with an app?
Yes. It's conveniently operated via the RC X app for smartphone and tablet, including settings like upsampling and filter characteristics. If you prefer something more hands-on, use the included RC 3 full-aluminum remote control.
Why buy the AVM Evolution MP 3.3 in Silver from HD Zürisee?
Because a streaming center is only truly enjoyable once network, power amp and speakers all play together cleanly – and that's what we set up for you. As an authorized AVM dealer in Wädenswil, we give you honest advice, take care of the warranty, and have our own technician, Mauri, in-house. Reach us by phone, email or WhatsApp.

You'll find the right power amp under Power Amps, matching speakers under Floorstanding Speakers. Wire it up with Speaker Cables and Power Cables; without a headphone jack, a Headphone Amp helps out.
