Do I still need an external DAC if I have this module?
No, the DAC is already built into the module and converts PCM up to 384 kHz/32 bit as well as DSD up to DSD128. Digital sources go in directly via USB or S/PDIF, and it comes back out of the preamp in analogue form.

Can I also connect my TV via S/PDIF with this?
Yes, a TV with an optical or coaxial digital output connects easily via one of the two S/PDIF sockets. However, the module isn't designed for the return channel (ARC/eARC over HDMI).
