The Atoll DA200 is a plug-in card that adds four S/PDIF inputs, an asynchronous USB input, and a Bluetooth receiver to an Atoll amplifier.

That turns a purely analog amplifier into the digital hub of the living room – without a second device having to go into the rack or an extra outlet being used up.

Why the DA200?

Because it closes exactly the gap that Atoll's analog amplifiers leave from the factory. Conversion happens via an AKM AK4490, powered by the amplifier's power supply and shielded by its chassis – two advantages an external converter in this price range doesn't have. The USB input works asynchronously via an XMOS interface, so the clock comes from the device, not from the computer.

What you get

Connections for practically everything: two coaxial and two optical inputs for TV, CD transport, and streamer, USB-B for the computer, and Bluetooth for the quick case from your phone. Dynamic range and signal-to-noise ratio are both 120 dB. After that, your amplifier has more digital inputs than most devices that come with them built in.

Who is the DA200 suited for?

For anyone with a matching Atoll amplifier who wants to connect a TV, a computer, or a phone without buying a second device. In plain terms: compatibility isn't officially documented for every model – for the Evolution series, the information relies on dealer sources. We confirm this with the distributor before purchase. Atoll doesn't specify the Bluetooth version or codecs; if you specifically need aptX or LDAC, you should know that beforehand. And it's not intended for CD players – that's what the DC200 is for.

Our verdict

The DA200 is the reason an analog Atoll amplifier doesn't age: what's enough today can be retrofitted in three years when a new TV or a streamer joins the setup. That upgradability is exactly what defines the brand. Tell us which device you have – we'll confirm approval and install it in-house: 044 680 22 00 or WhatsApp 076 534 22 00, HD Zürisee in Wädenswil.

Frequently asked questions

Which Atoll devices does the DA200 fit?
Officially, Atoll lists the integrated amplifiers IN50, IN80, IN100, and IN200 Signature, as well as the preamplifiers PR200, PR300, and PR400 Signature. Dealer sources also name the Evolution models IN200, IN300, IN400, and PR300. We confirm approval for your device with the distributor before installation.

Which inputs does the DA200 bring?
Two coaxial and two optical S/PDIF inputs, an asynchronous USB-B input via an XMOS interface, and a Bluetooth receiver. That brings TV, CD transport, streamer, computer, and phone together on a single amplifier.

What resolution does the DA200 handle?
Up to 24-bit / 192 kHz via coaxial and optical. The installation manual states up to 32-bit / 384 kHz plus DSD64 and DSD128 for the USB input; Atoll's current product page states higher values. We go by the conservative figures and check the card revision with the distributor.

What Bluetooth version does the DA200 have?
Atoll doesn't specify this – neither the version nor the supported codecs are documented. We don't want to claim anything we can't back up here. What's clear: the Bluetooth receiver feeds straight into the card's converter digitally.

Why buy the Atoll DA200 at HD Zürisee?
Because compatibility needs to be confirmed depending on model and production year – we take care of that before purchase. After that, our own technician installs the card in-house, tests it with your sources, and hands you the device ready to use.

Goes well with

It belongs in an Atoll integrated amplifier or preamplifier. After that, you can connect a streamer, a TV, and a computer – matching digital cables are available too.
