The Argon Audio Forus 5 Wall is a passive 2-way wall speaker with a 5-inch mid-woofer, a 0.75-inch soft dome and a bass reflex enclosure, mounted directly on the wall via an integrated keyhole hanger. At 13 centimetres deep, it needs no floor space – just a good screw. In Black, it practically vanishes against dark walls and next to the TV.
Why the Forus 5 Wall?
A flat speaker has a fundamental problem: cabinet volume makes bass, and depth is exactly what it doesn't have. Argon solves this through area instead of depth – 29.7 × 42 centimetres of front baffle at only 13 centimetres of cabinet depth. The result: a 50 Hz lower cutoff frequency, deeper than the freestanding Forus 5 at 55 Hz. The 5-inch cone and the 0.75-inch tweeter cross over at 2,700 Hz.
What you get
Two speakers with magnetically attached front grilles and gold-plated terminals. The hanger is built into the cabinet, so there's no bulky bracket in the way: one screw per speaker, hang it, done – vertically or horizontally, depending on whether they go next to or below the TV. Any amplifier or AV receiver you like can drive it.
Who is the Forus 5 Wall suited for – and who isn't it for?
Straight talk: don't underestimate the size. At 42 centimetres tall and nearly 30 centimetres wide, this isn't a discreet little picture frame, it's a visible object on the wall – measure first. It's also passive, so an amplifier belongs in front of it. And if you already have room on the sideboard, the freestanding Forus 5 is the more affordable route. But if you need sound without floor space – a living room with wall mounting, surround channels in a home cinema – you'll find a surprisingly grown-up solution here.
Our verdict
The Forus 5 Wall gets more out of 13 centimetres of depth than you'd expect from a wall speaker – because it simply makes up the missing depth in area. Compared with the smaller Forus 4 Wall, it's 5 instead of 4 inches of cone and 50 instead of 60 Hz lower cutoff; that's the whole difference, and it's an audible one. Stereo or surround, which amplifier, what mounting height: we're happy to plan that with you. HD Zürisee in Wädenswil, 044 680 22 00 or WhatsApp 076 534 22 00 (text only, no calls).

Frequently asked questions
How is the Forus 5 Wall mounted on the wall?
Via an integrated keyhole hanger on the back. A single screw in the wall is enough, and the speaker hangs on it. It can be mounted vertically or horizontally. With drywall or brick, please choose the right anchor – each speaker hangs 5.65 kg on the wall.
Is the Forus 5 Wall active or passive?
Passive. It needs an amplifier or AV receiver with normal speaker terminals; it has no amplifier or streaming module of its own. In return, it combines freely with the electronics you already have and later integrates easily into a larger home cinema.
Does the Forus 5 Wall have the same drivers as the Forus 5?
No. The Forus 5 Wall uses a 5-inch mid-woofer and a 0.75-inch soft dome, while the Forus 5 bookshelf speaker uses 5.25 inches and a 1-inch tweeter. The Wall even reaches a bit deeper at 50 Hz. Same family, its own tuning.
Can I use the Forus 5 Wall in a home cinema?
Yes. It works as a front or surround speaker in 5.1 and 7.1 setups and matches the other Forus models like the Forus Center. At 4 ohms and 85 dB, the AV receiver should have some headroom in reserve, especially when several channels are driven at once.
Why buy the Forus 5 Wall from HD Zürisee?
Because wall mounting raises questions that are rarely answered online: wall construction, height, cable routing, matching within the set. That's exactly where our experienced team steps in – with honest assessment, our own in-house technician and help that doesn't stop after the purchase.
