Advance Paris L-SUB3 Subwoofer Cable, 3 m

The Advance Paris L-SUB3 is a shielded mono subwoofer cable with 50-ohm impedance and a pure OCC copper conductor, terminated with solid metal RCA connectors – 3 metres in length for the connection between the preamp output and the subwoofer.

Why the L-SUB3?

Because the subwoofer usually stands a bit away from the amplifier and main speakers, and the deep bass signal has to arrive cleanly over that distance. The continuous shielding of the L-SUB3 keeps out interference that would otherwise show up as hum in the bass range.

Who is the L-SUB3 for?

For the standard setup, where 3 metres between amplifier and subwoofer is enough. If your subwoofer stands further away, the L-SUB5 or L-SUB10 is the better choice.

A dedicated subwoofer cable like the L-SUB3 is designed for low frequencies and the often larger distance to the subwoofer – a normal RCA cable also works, but is rarely as well shielded.

Is a mono cable enough for a stereo subwoofer?

For a single subwoofer, a mono cable is enough, since most subwoofers merge the stereo signals internally anyway. For two subwoofers, you'll need two cables accordingly.
