bFly-Audio Satellite-Q – Housing Absorber

The bFly-Audio Satellite-Q is a housing absorber that tackles case vibrations on HiFi equipment and speakers directly at the source.

Instead of going underneath the device, the Satellite-Q is placed on top of the case – an additional point of attack that most absorber concepts don't cover at all.

Why the Satellite-Q?

Many HiFi devices today, source components especially, weigh surprisingly little, making them more prone to microphony – case vibrations that travel back into the sensitive electronics. The Satellite-Q solves that in two ways at once: it adds weight, stabilising the case, while the weight-dependent absorber inside additionally dampens vibration. Even a light knock on the case shows the difference.

Who is the Satellite-Q for (and who isn't it for)?

Ideal for light to medium-weight devices such as streamers, DACs or preamps that noticeably resonate on their case. Bottom line: on already very heavy, solid cases, the effect is smaller – there, a base under the device is worth trying first, for example from the Decoupling range.

How exactly does the Satellite-Q work?

What's the difference between Basic and PLUS?

The PLUS version additionally has a red gel pad built into the central absorber, bringing even better damping properties. For a noticeable entry point, the Basic version is entirely sufficient.
