A Class-A amplifier from Valvet is handcrafted amplifier or preamplifier electronics from northern Germany that relies on short signal paths rather than digital technology.

Valvet builds every unit as an individual piece: wired throughout with Teflon-insulated pure silver wire, fitted with WBT connectors and its own custom-wound toroidal transformers. The range spans from the compact I4 integrated amplifier through the Soulshine2 MKII tube preamplifier to the Class-A power amplifiers of the E and A series – from the frugal single-ended design (E3, E4) to the powerful push-pull monoblocks (A4.5, A4e).

Choosing Valvet means deliberately choosing reduced, purely analogue electronics without streaming or a built-in DAC – in exchange for a very direct, warm sound character. Well suited to anyone who already has their own source (streamer, turntable, CD player) and prefers handwork to mass production.
