The Bluesound Pulse Flex 2025 is a compact streaming speaker with BluOS that brings Hi-Res music up to 24-bit/192kHz into a single room over your home network.

The beige variant is for anyone who doesn't want their tech to look like tech. A warm chassis, soft fabric — and behind it 50 watts you'd never guess from its understated presence.

Why the Pulse Flex 2025?

Because it doesn't force you to buy your whole system at once. One Flex is enough to start, and if the kitchen, bedroom and bathroom join in later, they simply grow along via BluOS. The app holds more than 20 streaming services alongside internet radio and your own music files — what you use is up to you, a subscription is never mandatory. Two Flex units can also be paired into a stereo pair.

What you get

A genuine network player in speaker format: 24-bit/192kHz, MQA decoding, DSD256, Bluetooth 5.3 with aptX HD, dual-band Wi-Fi and a Gigabit network port for anyone who doesn't fully trust radio waves. The 3.5mm combo input takes analogue or optical sources, and the Toslink adapter is included. Control comes via the BluOS app, AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, Roon, or directly on the unit. A Pulse Sub+ can be added wirelessly.

Who is the Pulse Flex 2025 for?

For bright, homely rooms where a black box would stand out, and for anyone building multiroom step by step. Straight talk: as the sole speaker for a large living room, it's undersized — that's where sense starts with the Pulse Mini 2i. And it isn't an outdoor unit: there's no battery for this model, and no IP rating either. It wants a power outlet and a roof over its head.

Does the Pulse Flex 2025 in Beige have a battery?

No, the 2025 model is mains power only. Bluesound doesn't offer a battery pack for it — the well-known BP100 fit only the older Pulse Flex and Flex 2i. So plan the Flex 2025 in as a fixed spot with a power outlet.

Does the beige variant sound different from black and white?

No, all three colours share the same technology. Amplifier, drivers, BluOS and connections are identical, only the chassis and fabric covering differ. You can freely mix the colours within the same multiroom system, and even pair two differently coloured Flex units into a stereo pair.

What connections does the Pulse Flex 2025 have?

It offers a 3.5mm combo jack for analogue and optical sources, plus USB-C and a Gigabit network port. Dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.3 with aptX HD add wireless options. There's no line output or headphone jack — the amplifier is already built into the chassis.

Do I need a streaming subscription to run it?

No. Internet radio, music files from network storage, and Bluetooth work with no ongoing cost. Paid services like Spotify, TIDAL or Qobuz are an option, not a requirement. BluOS brings every source together in one app, with or without a subscription.
