Collection: PMC

PMC comes from England and is deeply rooted in the professional world – its monitors stand in mastering and recording studios around the globe. Its signature is ATL technology (Advanced Transmission Line), a folded cabinet duct for clean, deep bass from fairly compact enclosures. We carry the active Twenty5i monitors and the affordable Prodigy series – demo-ready by Lake Zurich.

The PMC range at our store

  • Active studio monitors – Twenty5.21i and .22i as bookshelf monitors, Twenty5.23i and .24i as floorstanders, all with built-in power amps.
  • Passive speakers – the affordable Prodigy series (Prodigy1 as bookshelf, Prodigy5 as floorstander) as well as the Twenty5.26i for anyone who wants to use their own amplifier.
  • Accessories – the Active Upgrade for retrofitting, plus grille covers for Prodigy1/5.

Honestly

PMC is for people who want to know what's really on the recording – honest, neutral, without embellishment. The active models are pleasantly uncomplicated in this: power amps are perfectly matched to the drivers, all you need is a source. If you're after a warm, forgiving sound, you're in the wrong place. If you want the truth, you're in the right one.

Frequently asked questions about PMC

What does the transmission line get me?

Deep, well-defined bass from a comparatively compact enclosure – without booming. Especially an advantage in normal-sized living rooms.

Active means I don't need an amplifier?

With the active Twenty5i models, yes – the power amps are already built in, you just connect a source or preamp. The passive Prodigy series and the Twenty5.26i, on the other hand, need their own amplifier.

Can I listen to PMC at your store?

Whatever's set up in Wädenswil, you can listen to. On request, we'll listen to the monitors in your room – that tells you more than any spec sheet.
