Collection: MERASON

Merason is Swiss high-end in its most purist form. The manufactory from Worb in the canton of Bern (niedal audio lab AG) builds digital-to-analogue converters and amplifiers that serve one goal without compromise: the music. No frills, no gimmicks, but genuine multibit conversion with Burr-Brown chips, a fully symmetrical dual-mono design and discrete Class-A output stages, all handmade in Switzerland. At HD Zürisee in Wädenswil you can listen to Merason at your leisure and experience the difference between "good" and "truly good" for yourself.

The Merason range at HD Zürisee

  • frérot – the compact entry into the Merason world: the DAC with the big sound for the smaller budget.
  • pow1 – the matching linear power supply that gets even more out of the frérot.
  • Reuss – the purist mid-range converter that elegantly closes the gap between the frérot and the DAC1.
  • DAC1 Mk II – the multi-award-winning reference DAC, optionally with pure silver RCA sockets.
  • DAC2 – the step up from the DAC1 Mk II for anyone who wants to get even closer to the recording.
  • Mountain DAC, Mountain Pre & Mountain Power – the new statement line: DAC, preamplifier and power amplifier as a perfectly matched high-end system.

Honestly speaking …

Merason isn't for people who want lots of buttons, colourful displays and ten sound programmes. Here there's deliberately little to operate, but what matters is right. If you're after a jack-of-all-trades with streaming, room correction and app control, you're better served elsewhere. If you want a converter that simply sounds honest and natural and still convinces you just as much in ten years, you're spot on with Merason. And yes: Swiss craftsmanship has its price – but you can hear that too.
