Advance Paris L-OPT1 Optical Digital Cable, 1 m

The Advance Paris L-OPT1 is an optical digital cable (TOSLINK) for connecting a CD player, streamer, TV or preamp to the optical input of your amplifier. High-quality metal TOSLINK connectors ensure a clean fit and reliable contact.

Why the L-OPT1?

Because light-based transmission is galvanically isolated and therefore immune to ground loops between devices with different earthing – a common source of interference, especially with TV connections. Cleanly built, the L-OPT1 transmits the digital signal without detours.

Who is the L-OPT1 for?

For anyone who wants to connect an optical output (TV, CD player, games console) to an optical input. If your device offers a coaxial output instead, reach for the L-Coax.

Our verdict

A reliable optical cable for everyday use – an uncomplicated, hum-free solution, especially for connecting a TV to the amplifier.

Frequently asked questions

Does the L-OPT1 also work with my TV?

Yes, provided your TV has an optical output (TOSLINK), you connect it directly to the optical input of your amplifier – one of the simplest ways to enjoy TV sound through a proper stereo system.

Is optical worse than coaxial?

Sonically, the two transmission paths barely differ over short runs. Optical scores with galvanic isolation against hum, coaxial is considered somewhat more robust over very long cables.
