Advance Paris L-Coax2 Digital Coaxial Cable, 2 m

The Advance Paris L-Coax2 is a digital coaxial cable that connects your CD player, streamer or preamp to the digital input of your amplifier with minimal loss – in a 2-metre length for a bit more distance between devices. Pure OCC copper conductor, 75-ohm shielding and solid metal RCA connectors ensure a clean signal transmission.

Why the L-Coax2?

Because a digital signal may only carry "zeros and ones", but the transmission itself still depends on cable quality – impedance jumps and poor shielding create jitter that the DAC has to iron out in the end. Specified at exactly 75 ohms, the L-Coax2 makes that compromise unnecessary in the first place.

Who is the L-Coax2 for?

For anyone who wants to bridge a somewhat larger distance between a digital coaxial output (CD player, streamer, TV) and a coaxial input – for example when the rack and amplifier aren't standing directly next to each other. For short runs, the L-Coax1 is enough.

Our verdict

A solid, correctly specified digital cable at a fair price, with no compromises to the signal even over the slightly longer distance.

Frequently asked questions

Does the signal lose quality over a 2 m length?

No, with correct 75-ohm impedance and good shielding – as with the L-Coax2 – a digital signal stays unchanged even over 2 metres. Problems can only occur with very long, poorly shielded cables.

Do I need coaxial or optical?

Both transmit the same signal; coaxial is considered marginally more stable over longer runs. What matters is which connection your devices offer – if in doubt, we're happy to advise you.
