LG 65MRGB88B9B

The LG 65MRGB88B9B is a 65-inch 4K gaming TV with Mini RGB evo technology (Mini LED), 144 Hz, 0.1 ms and alpha 8 Gen3 processor – Precision Dimming and 100% color coverage for gaming and film on one screen.

65 inches (164 cm): the gaming big-screen in standard living-room size – the full feature set of the MRGB88 series, more compact.

Why the LG 65MRGB88B9B?

Because it combines gaming speed with Mini LED picture quality. 144 Hz, 0.1 ms, NVIDIA G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium deliver a smooth picture without tearing; Precision Dimming controls the brightness zones for deep contrast. The RGB technology covers 100% DCI-P3 and Adobe RGB. webOS 26 makes it a full smart TV with all streaming services.

What you get

A large gaming screen with TV comfort: 4K with 144 Hz and 0.1 ms, G-Sync and FreeSync Premium, plus Dolby Vision Gaming and Dolby Atmos. Tuned for both console and PC – HDR gaming and cinema from one device.

Who is the 65MRGB88B9B suited for – and who isn't it for?

Straight talk: Ideal for the typical living room, if you want a TV and gaming display in one. For very large rooms with plenty of distance, 75 inches and up may suit better. The flat body doesn't deliver deep bass – plan for sound separately.

What's the difference between the MRGB88 and MRGB96 series?

The 88 series (Mini RGB, alpha 8) is tuned for gaming: 144 Hz, 0.1 ms, G-Sync. The 96 series (Micro RGB, alpha 11) is the color flagship with triple color coverage including BT.2020 and more picture processing power. In short: 88 = gaming performance, 96 = maximum picture quality.

Frequently asked questions

Does the TV also work well as a large gaming monitor?

Very well. 144 Hz, 0.1 ms and G-Sync deliver monitor-level performance at 65 inches, plus TV comfort and webOS. Via HDMI 2.1 you connect a gaming PC or console directly; VRR and ALLM switch automatically into gaming mode. For a desk, though, this size is quite generous.

Does the TV support VRR with PS5 and Xbox Series X?

Yes. The TV supports VRR and ALLM over HDMI 2.1; PS5 and Xbox Series X are detected automatically and run with variable refresh rate without tearing. Consoles play in 4K up to 120 Hz, while a gaming PC makes full use of the 144 Hz.
