The Tannoy Cheviot Legacy is a 2-way floorstanding speaker with a 12-inch Dual Concentric driver, translating the HPD monitors of the 1970s into a modern, handmade walnut cabinet.

It's the middle model in the Legacy series – and pretty much the most sensible one. 86 cm tall, but almost 45 cm wide: that doesn't match today's slimness ideal at all, and that's exactly the point. What's working here is a 30 cm coax, not three small woofers pretending to be one.

Why the Cheviot Legacy?

Who is the Cheviot Legacy suited for?
