The Bluesound Pulse Flex 2025 is a compact, mains-powered streaming speaker with BluOS that brings music up to 24-bit/192kHz into a room via Wi-Fi, network cable or Bluetooth.
Small, but not to be underestimated: 50 watts of SmartDSP power on a 10-centimetre woofer produce a sound you wouldn't expect from this chassis. In black, it disappears into the shelf instead of dominating it.
Why the Pulse Flex 2025?
It's the simplest way into the Bluesound multiroom system — and still a full-fledged network player, not an afterthought speaker. Through BluOS you reach more than 20 streaming services, plus internet radio, your own music files from network storage, and Bluetooth. A paid subscription isn't a requirement for any of that. If a second Bluesound joins later, both rooms play in sync; two Flex units form a genuine stereo pair with separate left and right channels.
What you get
Hi-Res up to 24-bit/192kHz including MQA decoding and DSD256, Bluetooth 5.3 with aptX HD, dual-band Wi-Fi and Gigabit Ethernet for a connection that won't drop even during family movie night. The 3.5mm combo input accepts analogue and optical sources, and the matching Toslink adapter is included. Control comes via the BluOS app, AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, Roon, or simply the buttons on the unit. If you ever want more low end, you can wirelessly pair a Pulse Sub+.
Who is the Pulse Flex 2025 for?
Ideal for the kitchen, bedroom, office, or as an extra room in an existing multiroom system. Honestly: it's deliberately not built for large living spaces and party levels — for that, reach for the Pulse Mini 2i or Pulse 2i instead. And one point that easily gets overlooked elsewhere: the Flex 2025 runs on mains power only. There's no battery pack for this model as there was for the earlier Flex 2i, and it has no IP rating either. So for a balcony or terrace, you'll need a power outlet and dry weather.
Our verdict
The Pulse Flex 2025 is the most uncomplicated way into the Bluesound world: compact, cleanly built, surprisingly grown-up in tone, and expandable at any time via BluOS. If you want to start small and still build up big, this is exactly right. How to stagger this sensibly across your rooms is something we're happy to plan with you at HD Zürisee in Wädenswil.

Frequently asked questions
Does the Bluesound Pulse Flex 2025 have a battery?
No, the Pulse Flex 2025 runs on mains power only. Bluesound doesn't offer a battery pack for this model; the earlier BP100 only fit the original Pulse Flex and the Flex 2i. For outdoor use you'll need a power outlet within reach.
Can I use two Pulse Flex 2025 units as a stereo pair?
Yes. In the BluOS app you pair two units into a stereo pair with separate left and right channels, which noticeably widens the soundstage. Alternatively, they can play individually in different rooms or together as a group. You can change the pairing in the app at any time.
Do I need a streaming subscription for the Pulse Flex 2025?
No, a paid subscription isn't a requirement. Internet radio, music files from network storage, and Bluetooth run at no ongoing cost. You only add services like Spotify, TIDAL or Qobuz if you already use them — BluOS manages every source in the same interface.
Is the Pulse Flex 2025 weatherproof?
No, Bluesound doesn't give the Pulse Flex 2025 an IP rating. It's an indoor speaker. On a covered terrace it plays without issue in dry weather, but it shouldn't stand outside permanently — no active speaker likes moisture and dust.
Why buy the Bluesound Pulse Flex 2025 from HD Zürisee?
