Eversolo DMP-A10 Network Streamer

The Eversolo DMP-A10 is a network streamer with a built-in ESS DAC and preamp. It plays music from your network, from streaming services and from USB or SSD storage, and passes it on to your system in both analog and digital form.

It is the largest model in the DMP series: a single device that combines source, converter and preamplifier, operated via a 6.5-inch touchscreen.

Why the DMP-A10?

Because it handles the entire digital chain in one case with a dual power supply and OCXO clocks. According to the manufacturer, the ESS9039PRO converter achieves a 130 dB signal-to-noise ratio with –122 dB THD+N. At the output there are balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA sockets, plus a subwoofer output. If you prefer an external DAC, you simply let the A10 stream only. Two M.2 NVMe slots hold your own music collection; the SSDs are not included.

What you hear

The A10 doesn't want to impose a tonal colour; it wants to add as little as possible. With a 130 dB signal-to-noise ratio and –122 dB THD+N, the interference levels are, according to the manufacturer, so low that they hardly matter under normal listening conditions. How it sounds in your room is for your ears to decide.

Who is the DMP-A10 for?

For anyone who wants to organise their digital music centrally and in high quality and is looking for a streamer, DAC and preamp in one device. Plain and simple: a headphone output is not listed in the data sheet, and for beginners on a small budget the A10 is more device than they need. For that we look at the smaller DMP models.

The DMP-A10 is an exceptionally complete streamer: cleanly measured, sensibly equipped and as easy to operate as a modern tablet. Does the Eversolo DMP-A10 have a built-in DAC?

Yes, the A10 uses an ESS9039PRO converter and also has a preamp. You can connect it directly to power amps or active speakers. Alternatively, you use it only as a streamer and let an external DAC do the conversion.

Which connections does the DMP-A10 offer?

On the input side there are RCA, XLR, coaxial, optical, USB-B, HDMI ARC and Bluetooth 5.0. On the output side there are RCA, XLR and a subwoofer output. For music files there are two M.2 NVMe slots; you need to source the SSDs separately.

Does the DMP-A10 have a headphone output?

Do I need a streaming subscription for the DMP-A10?

No. The A10 also plays music from your NAS, from USB storage or from built-in SSDs. Streaming services are an option, not a must. It is also Roon Ready.
