Canton Atelier OnWall 5 C Center-On-Wall Speaker, White (Each)

The Canton Atelier OnWall 5 C is a center-on-wall speaker that puts the dialogue channel of a compact home cinema visibly on the wall.

It uses the same cabinet as the Atelier OnWall 5, just mounted horizontally – designed for the position just below a wall-mounted TV, using the same VESA mount as the fronts.

Why the Atelier OnWall 5 C?

Because there's rarely much space left below a wall-mounted TV – and a wall cutout often isn't even possible there. The OnWall 5 C solves this with its own small cabinet: a 128 mm aluminium-titanium woofer/midrange, a 25 mm tweeter with Wave lens, and a passive radiator that coaxes the necessary bass out of the flat cabinet.

What you hear

Voices that sit centred and locked to the picture instead of floating between the front speakers. The Wave lens ensures that even a seat at the edge of the sofa isn't at an acoustic disadvantage. Effects move to the fronts without an audible jump – same drivers, same tuning.

Who is the Atelier OnWall 5 C for?

For anyone who wants to upgrade a home cinema without cutting into the wall: TV flush-mounted or on a bracket, center mounted below it. Bottom line: a center alone doesn't make a home cinema – without matching fronts and an AV receiver with room calibration, potential is left on the table. Anyone wanting fully invisible technology should go for the InWall 5 C.

Our verdict

The pragmatic answer to a common problem: intelligible dialogue without having to cut a hole in the wall. Sonically tuned exactly to match the OnWall 5 family.

Frequently asked questions

How is the Atelier OnWall 5 C mounted?

Via a VESA-compatible bracket (100 × 100 mm), oriented horizontally and usually just below the TV. No wall cutout is needed, as the speaker brings its own cabinet with passive radiator.

Does the OnWall 5 C match the Atelier OnWall 5 fronts?

Yes, that's the intended combination. Both use the same drivers and the same frequency response, just mounted horizontally instead of vertically. That keeps the sound homogeneous across the front stage.

Do I need a built-in enclosure in the wall for the OnWall 5 C?

No, it brings its own sealed cabinet with passive radiator and doesn't depend on the wall cavity's volume. That makes the sound independent of what's behind the wall.

Is the Atelier OnWall 5 C delivered individually?

Yes, the sales unit is one piece. You order fronts and subwoofer separately – we'll put together the right parts list with you before ordering.

Why buy the Canton Atelier OnWall 5 C from HD Zürisee?

Because a home cinema works as a system, not as individual parts. We tune center, fronts, subwoofer and receiver to match each other, and Mauri handles the installation on request. Get in touch, and we'll go through your project together.

Goes well with

The matching fronts are in the wall speakers, more dialogue channels are in the center speakers. A subwoofer provides the foundation, and the home cinema speakers give an overview of the film-sound range. It's best to plan speaker cable in right away.
